Thank you.

Thank you to KYA 3 for electing me as your Youth Governor last year. I would be lying if I said this program hasn’t changed my life over the last 7 years. This conference has changed my outlook on the world, and especially on the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Thank you also for giving me the chance to make some of the best memories and meet some of my best friends. While it wasn’t always good times — yearly charley horses and the Crowne Plaza food come to mind — I will always cherish even the hard moments. Thank you to my PO team for going through these moments, both good and bad, with me.

A further thank you to Ryan McAfee, Chris Raymer & Ben McBride, Jim Wayne, and all of the other individuals who have gotten me to where I am today in this program, both when I was starting out and for supporting me along the way.

I hope those who attended this conference can go home with a renewed sense of purpose and see the bigger picture. We’re all in this together. This state has the resources and opportunities you seek, you just have to look for them…
