Incredibly excited to share that Z.H. Gill and I have acquired the film rights to Harry Mathews’s incredible book “My Life in CIA” with our company American Waste.

It’s a huge honor to write the official adaptation of one of the most unique and wild books we’ve ever read. We can’t thank the Mathews estate enough for placing their trust in us with this project, and we also owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mark Polizzotti, Deborah Karl, Dalkey Archive Press, and all the trustees of the estate for their help, as well as Sarah McEachern @joan_didion at Deep Vellum.

In so many different ways…keep your eyes peeled. by @maxctullio

Absolutely thrilled to be letting “Only the Lord Will Set You Free” loose into the world at the 57th Nashville Film Festival @nashfilmfest as part of the Graveyard Shorts section.

Insane love to the team out in rural Kentucky who helped make this delirious thing on little more than a whim and an alarming amount of trust.

Get ready. We’ll see you there.
