This is definitely not something I thought I would ever have to write. I’ve been pretty speechless trying to process it all, but I want to say something to honour Kai.Kai was truly one of a kind. One of the coolest, most adventurous, outgoing, inspiring, and honestly craziest people I’ve ever known. He had this energy about him that just pulled people in. He was a constant go-getter, and he was loved by so many.I’ve never met anyone who lived life the way he did. He chased every moment, every opportunity, and every adventure without hesitation. The amount of crazy things he did and the places he went around the world is unbelievable. And somehow, we were never really worried, because we knew how strong he was and how he had this incredible ability to connect with people and make friends wherever he went.Kai was like a brother to me. Growing up with him, he taught me so many things along the way. He was endlessly inspiring and always pushed me to live life to the fullest. He will never stop inspiring me. We should all try to live the way Kai did.I unfortunately haven’t seen Kai in a couple years now but we were planning a trip. I wanted to go on a casual surf trip. He wanted to go rogue and hitchhike across Africa surfing every possible wave we could and camping In the craziest spots. That’s honestly the most kai thing ever and I love it. I would do anything to have just 1 more crazy adventure with him ❤️To Luke, Julia, and John—I love you guys. You will always be like family to me.Seeing all the tributes to Kai has been incredibly emotional, but it shows just how many people loved him.Hug your friends, tell them you love them, and don’t take a moment for granted.#livelikekai by @maxedwrds

I just put out my 1st EP! I’ve spent the last year ish making some of these songs and I’m so stoked to finally be putting them out. I’ve got another new one for you this week. This one is called “Anne Marie”. This is one of my favourite songs but it was a biitchh to make for so many reasons.
