This joy comes after an early loss that broke our hearts and reshaped our journey. Pregnancy after loss carries both gratitude and fear — and that’s okay.

What an experience. Between gaining 7500ft of elevation, hitting over 12k ft 4 times, running with one of my good friends, and having an unbelievable support system, this was something I’ll never forget.

Running a 50 mile ultra sounds like a personal accomplishment, but was far from it. I can’t thank my amazing wife for putting up with my long runs, my constant tiredness from training, and picking up the slack when I didn’t have it in me. Without her no chance I would have accomplished this. My mother and sister were absolute rock stars crewing for me and always making sure I was good and well fueled. I cannot thank you guys enough.

@woodall2 for being an unbelievable friend, and training partner, even if we are thousands of miles away. You absolutely killed it dude and I could not be more proud of you.

This race was more than just that, it was a mental battle, a team effort, and an all out effort to see what you are capable of.

2024 has been quite the year. Lots of learning experiences, lots of highs and lows. I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but hope to learn from them for the future. I’m finding what makes me most happy and clinging tightly to that, life is too short not to. I don’t want 2025 to go by without appreciating it more, life is way too short not to enjoy each moment. This year I’m striving to be the best person I can be, to myself, and to the people in my life. I know I’ll come up short at times, but I know that God has big plans for my life and the lives of everyone around me. Here’s to being truly happy, and making the most of the short time we’re given on this earth. Keep being awesome, and actually make this the best year yet(or not), the choice is yours ;) P.S: Absolutely cannot wait to be your husband @abby_seigs ❤️ by @maxerickson3

Enjoy the season of life when you’re working on you, working on who you want to become. You’ve got 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year, how are you going to use it?

Day by day you can choose to get 1% better, 1% closer to those goals you thought were impossible. Chase the impossible, chase that happiness. If it was easy everyone would do it. Block out the noise and prove yourself right, you’re worth it. #bemore by @maxerickson3
