It’s been a long time coming for this 50.5” 🙌 Capitalized on a cold front bringing water temps all the way back down to 73 degrees and another major window fish right off the start over shallow weed bed. This brute absolutely crushed the Drop Tine Tackle Non Typical 8/9 Mag Dirty Cisco and I was BURNING it!!! When your boy shoots you a message saying “Super last minute but I’m heading out tomorrow morning” you say yes… @freshwaterblues what a day man!!! And it didn’t end there either 🐅…

Nice to finally be back doing what we do best @freshwaterblues and myself going 4/5 with a true heart breaker!!! Based off the 50s I’ve encountered this season, This one would’ve hit the 53” mark… in the last 2 outings on lsc I’ve now lost 2 giants on the figure 8. Both would’ve passed the red line, both while throwing pounder or mag size lures… after watching back the film I’ve made the mistake of setting with the fish and not smashing it back into it’s face on both occasions. Mindset for next boat side eat - obliterate the rod and send the fish into outer orbit. I pray that I get a third chance at a figure giant before the season is up 🙏🏻 Also caught a decent mid night shore fish before hitting the lake 👍

First tournament win at the @waterwolflures @average_ontario_anglers Chandos Lake Pike Challenge placing 3rd and winning Big Fish🥉🐊 the plan was simple… fish for musky in a non musky populated lake 😅 turns out that plan paid out well!!! Had a fish of similar size follow my @waterwolflures 13” Magnum Gator Tube in a narrow channel. Worked our way through the rest of the channel and was met with this pig. Slow start to the tournament but @freshwaterblues and myself were going for the big ones. It worked 🙌 next stop @muskybrawl

Aggressive head shakes during the fight had me thinking it was much bigger 😅 turns out it would be a low 40s full of piss and vinegar

What a way to close out the summer season!!! Stats from Opener to mid season are 10/16 as a weekend warrior thanks to a very supportive wife and teething 7m chomper 😂 Best season by far for me during the summer months with a first 50” class fish all while knowing it’s just about to turn on!!! Can’t wait to see what the second half of the the season brings 🙌

Revisited a spot that I previously moved a musky out of a few times and finally got redemption. Hard to say if it’s the exact same musky based on a couple follows from last year and another one only the day before just 120 yards off. But it’s a safe assumption and a fine specimen 🤝 Absolutely sucks that my tube got her in the back, I’m very positive I felt her take a swing at it… Definitely spoiled the overall catch when bringing her to the net, just the way the dice rolls sometimes…

Another one on the @droptinetackle Non Typical 8/9 Mag Dirty Cisco!!! After spending the previous day monster hunting with Regan Thompson on the main lake, I saved the milk run on the West Arm for the last day. Hit the first spot we tried the day before and sure enough one was waiting.

Drift casting into a vast body of water with almost no structure but knowing that there’s a lake monster just waiting to rip the rod from your hands at any moment 😳 that’s the aura behind musky fishing LSC!!!
