Thankful to live during a time where women can take up space in F&B and beyond.

I honor my mom @linimarcelino who paved the way for 6 year old little me, to fall in love with the industry that I get to be part of. She took me with her on her wet market runs in Farmer’s market, teaching me how to pick the best produce. And letting me cook with her big woks in my “pangbahay” (home clothes), thinking that was completely normal for an 8 year old. 💅🏻

And my husband @richardo.sz for reminding me that I’m built for this—even when I sometimes joke about wanting a ✨ soft life ✨ . 🤭

Starting solids can feel overwhelming. 😅 trust me, I’ve been there! Even preparing single ingredient baby purée had me feeling like fighting for my life. It was the mental mass of what combinations to prepare and if the combinations were hitting Toni’s nutritional targets.

Eight months later, I’m ready to share some of the feeding principles we follow when feeding Toni and what’s worked for us so far, with a little help from our favorite @babymoov_ph feeding essentials. 🥣🥕🥑🍗✨

Things I wish I knew before our first flight with a 6-month-old:

✈️ Let your husband board first with your bags and hand-carry items
🐮 Pump right before boarding
🍼 Nurse upon flying to ease air pressure
😴 Plan the flight time around his nap or sleep schedule
👶🏻 Bring both the carrier + stroller
⏰ Everything takes 2x longer than you think so plan ahead

Travel is slower with a baby — but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. 🤍

Why are people lining up every day for a new gyudon spot at Mitsukoshi BGC?

Rich and Maxine Sanz, the duo behind some of Manila’s best-known Japanese comfort-food concepts, are behind this new addition, with Chef Francis Lim as culinary consultant. The menu goes beyond the usual beef-and-rice bowl, with crisp flavor-packed tuiles, steak bowls with custom butters, and a 12-hour Beef Hayashi.

Katsudonya Saiko co-founder Rich Sanz once waited an hour for katsudon on Christmas Day at a tiny eight-seat restaurant in Shibuya. The katsu was so good he kept going back—and eventually spent years looking for a team that could recreate that particular crunch in Manila.

Now, Katsudonya Saiko has a new flagship in Legazpi Village. But does the katsu live up to the obsession that started it all?
