Lebanon loves cinema. but checking what's playing, where, and at what time used to mean five tabs and a group chat. we partnered with Moviegoers to design two apps that turn the local cinema scene into one ecosystem.

Showtimes centralizes every movie, theater, and screening in one place.
pass turns it into a full ticketing experience, seat selection and all.
mobile and web. built around how people actually go to the movies in Lebanon.

50 years of regional expertise in the B2B glass industry. a digital presence that didn't carry the same weight.

We worked with Corpotrade to build the platform their legacy deserves. trading, engineering, and solutions across factories worldwide, structured into a Webflow site that mirrors the scale of the operation. a digital home as serious as the business behind it.

Authoring a book is hard enough. the tools to manage one shouldn't make it harder. Storiad came to us building a SaaS for writers, needing the product experience to match the ambition.

We redesigned the full UI/UX of the platform and built a comprehensive design system their in-house team can scale from. intuitive flows for managing books, audience, and marketing tools, structured to grow with every new feature.

🕒 Understanding Brook's Law: More isn't always better!

The adage "Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later" is widely known as Brook's Law, coined by Fred Brooks in his seminal book "The Mythical Man-Month." This counterintuitive principle highlights that adding more developers to an already delayed software project can actually prolong its completion, rather than speed it up.

Why does this happen? More people means more complexity in communication, more time spent onboarding new team members, and more possibilities for misunderstandings—essentially creating an inefficiency spiral.

In the fields of software engineering, UI/UX design, and project management, grasping Brook's Law is crucial for avoiding the trap of thinking more resources can automatically fix a late project. Instead, focus on efficient utilization of your existing team, clarify roles and tasks, and streamline communication to steer a lagging project back on course.

Keep in mind, Brook's Law is not an excuse to avoid scaling your team, but rather a framework to consider the complexities that come with team expansion. Use it to fine-tune your strategies and deliver projects more effectively. by @maxiphy.ux
