It is finally here!!! My own personal copy! I want to thank God 🙏🏼 for answering the prayers of the little child in me that always wanted to be an author ✍🏼

The day is finally here that I have a few of my works officially published! 1. Glint of Hope, 2. Candlelight, & 3. Lonely.

Also, I would like to thank my mom and dad. My mom set up a tiny little foldable tv dinner tray table and my dad’s old drum chair 🪑 in my room when I came home from college telling them I wanted to be a writer. ✍🏼 My dad got me my first official writing pen 🖊️ a John Deere wooden pen with a wooden case and everything. I am very thankful to my parents who always encouraged me to dream 😴

And lastly I want to thank my spiritual family who have always pioneered the way into creativity with God, who I watched excel in many ways, and who always encouraged me, even when I didn’t believe in myself anymore.

God is good, always and forever ♾️

P.S. I have to in good faith add a trigger warning ⚠️ to the 3rd poem “Lonely”. It is my only sexually graphic poem. As I describe the depths of intimacy in marriage and then the loss of love and depths of loneliness afterwards. ❤️‍🩹 by @maxkw_tet

This is tripping me out right now! 😵‍💫

I took the first photo over a year ago, when I noticed that these ladies were staring at me.

Then I was sitting at an angle, two tables down. Right now, I’m sitting head on and they still appear to be staring directly at me!

80 mph destructive winds came through last evening! 😳

I’ve never seen this much damage on our farm, my entire life! 😭

Woodpecker looking for food. Watch how he holds his ears close to the tree listening for insects.

Reminds me of my grandpa 👴🏽 because he always had woodpeckers on his hill.

First time wearing this beaded necklace and this beaded hat. Both of them my parents got me throughout this past year.

The Eagle feather I found some time ago. Decided to see if I could put it in the hat. 🦅

I got a haircut today. Decided it was time to cut it all off and start over. I needed a change in my life, even if it was a small one.

I walked out of the place, felt the cool breeze on the back of my head and neck and instantly felt refreshed! I smiled and laughed to God and thought, “is this what it feels to be happy?” 😅

Divorce and living separately from my son has been so difficult for me mentally to even process. ❤️‍🩹 I just never imagined growing up that I would ever live separately from one or any of my children. 👶🏽

Elijah is almost 9 months old 🥹 😭 haha 😆 he even has this cute 🥰 little man bun now! I wish I could share photographs of him but I’m respecting the wishes of his mother. 🫶🏼

God bless all of those this time of year going through our own struggles in life. I can only encourage you to lean on the Lord and trust with all your hearts 💞

Blades of Glory

I am but a blade of grass
I can only stand up
under the light of the Sun.
If He does not shine upon me,
I whither and die.
If He shows me too much strength
I too shall whither and die.
So His touch of Light must be just right
If I am to flourish.

But I am only one blade of grass
among the timeline of humanity.
What am I among this, sea of green?
Only here for a few days,
then I shall pass on
and another shall take my place.
The land will not remember me
I shall be forgotten among the sheaves.

But I shall not forget the Sun!
Nor will any of my counterparts.

Every time I see a Magnolia tree, I remember my ex-ex wife’s mother. 🧓🏽

It’s her favorite kind of tree. We even stopped at a plaza like this, but in Florida. I am currently in Pennsylvania.

And we all took photos together in front of a Magnolia tree. I will never forget.
