It’s been a great summer back home in Maui!

Time well-spent testing foils and training with the boys, as well as racing in Voyager Wetfeet, Paddle Imua, Maui 2 Molokai, and the Kamalo Run.

That was a tough one. M2O this year was a battle from start to finish. I struggled to pop up in the beginning, started a few minutes behind, and fell a couple times in the middle of the channel. I also had my second year in a row going unintentionally unescorted when the boat’s motor went out at the start of the race. With the finish line finally in sight, about a half mile out, I overfoiled🤦‍♂️ Took me about 10 minutes to finally pop back up and crawl across the finish line, getting passed by a bunch of racers in the process. I’m definitely a little bummed with my performance, but I can confidently say I’m not done with the Kaiwi Channel, and I’m ready for a better result next time⚔️
