It’s a true story about identity, family, faith, and the course of love running about as non-smoothly as is humanly possible.

WILL I BE GETTING CIRCUMCISED LIVE ONSTAGE EACH DAY? There’s really only one way to find out.

PAC was, without exaggeration, one of the most naturally talented wrestlers the world has ever seen. He was also an astonishingly lovely man, deeply self-effacing, who wore his prodigious talents as lightly as can be imagined.

We were teenagers when we first met, wrestling in tiny shows around the UK. It was clear from the beginning that he was a star - far, far better than those around him, but immensely generous with his talents; both able and willing to elevate any and every person he worked with. A dream.

When he came down to wrestle in Portsmouth he would brave the horrors of our local nightclub, and crash on my futon - and he returned the favour, hosting our band of misfits when we came up to Newcastle.

When I first thought of uniting comedians and wrestlers at the Edinburgh Fringe, PAC was the first person I called. Despite already being on his inevitable stratospheric ascent, midway through conquering Japan and pioneering a new standard of modern wrestling in the process, he somehow made time in his schedule, and said yes. He was typically, effortlessly, brilliant - a room full of non-wrestling fans instinctively knew they’d seen someone incredibly special.

As the years went by, he only seemed to get better. Just yesterday, I found myself on IG and a clip of PAC came up, from a show filmed only a few days ago. Still at the peak of his powers, performing an utterly impossible move from the top rope, like it was nothing at all.
