DEPTHMAPPER. browser based tool that makes a depth model out of any image, you can then light specific distances in the image or have audio automate the lighting if you so wish. It’s available for anyone to try out for free :) you will need to use a computer though. Link in bio

After a lot of trial and error, my app Blob is finally available on the appstore

I initially made it for some fun quick video collaging but it’s turned into quite a powerful creative tool with a lot of features.

I’d love to see what people can do with it, i think it has a lot of potential for really cool things

A quick run down of how it works:

- Record a base layer
- Either draw, type, place shapes or text on the screen to create a mask or ‘window’ to the live camera. Record your next layer through this ‘window’
- Mute or unmute individual layers as you wish
- Repeat as many times as you want to build your collage.
- Record as long as you like (the eventually exported video is the length of your longest layer, all other layers loop within that time frame)
- You can also import existing videos/images as well as pngs with transparency for things like graphics.

Unfortunately you do need to pay a whopping £2.99 for it but that’s cheaper than half a pint of guinness, and it’s FOREVER. You’d really be helping me out too :)

There’s a link in my bio 🔗

Enjoy!

Also, any feedback is welcome as I’ve only been able to test it on my phone and I will be making updates going forward :) by @maxpigott

A few images from some recent work with @lighthouserelief + @kypselimundial in Greece.

@lighthouserelief run weekly football sessions for residents of Ritsona Refugee Camp, giving them a chance to connect, stay active, and experience a sense of normality while living through extremely difficult circumstances having already made harrowing journeys in search of safety in Europe. Due to its remote location and the withdrawal of most NGOs from the camp has left residents with few services and support systems available to them. You can donate to Lighthouse Relief through their website to help them continue this particular work, as well as providing other essential services, including emergency response and safe spaces for women and children.

Beyond restrictions of the camp, The annual @kypselimundial celebrates and brings together migrant communities from different backgrounds in a world cup style tournament built around solidarity. Congrats to Nigeria for retaining the cup from last year! (although, a controversial disallowed last minute goal for D.R. Congo to make it 3-3 could have changed things!). Some incredible football all round. by @maxpigott

“It’s a practice devoted to crashing cars… hard.”

This is how photographer @maxpigott describes banger racing, an unofficial British heritage sport where people buy cheap old cars, lovingly restore them to working order, then smash them to pieces in a race on a mud track somewhere in the countryside—before repairing them so they can do it all over again.

A predominantly working-class subculture, the tradition is often passed down inter-generationally and drivers start as young as ten. Pigott's latest project No Guts, No Glory captures the quiet moments behind the chaos: the thrill and sense of belonging found in rear-ending someone in a f*cked-up Vauxhall Astra. Chloe’s last race as a ’junior banger’ posing with her Nissan Micra, a popular choice for the juniors (starting at 11 years old) who are limited to small engine sizes. Once you turn 16 you enter the unlimited category, where basically anything goes.

This portrait is part of the grad show exhibition at @lcclondon which is on for one more day.

I’ve been getting to know the UK banger racing community recently and I’m hooked. This portrait of Bobby is part of the project I’ve been working on for my MA which has been a real privilege and is currently being printed as a book 🙌
