What a journey it’s been . Very excited to have this amazing album out in the world today from my very dear friend and your favourite @antonyszmierek 🫶 Working on this record from the very start to the very end was one of the greatest experiences of my life and i am eternally proud of it ! From all the amazing people involved @ellurmusic @1_800girls @greaves_alex @pgprettygrl @serrapetale1at @imogenandtheknife @robinhphphphphp @getdown_services , ken, and everyone behind the scenes , it’s been a beautiful thing to be a part of ! Go and listen to it very loud and from start to finish 🧡 Xx @mushroommusic by @maxradmaxrad
My new album ‘A Love Letter’ is out today 🫶 I am very proud of this album, and it feels amazing to have it in the world how it is supposed to be listened to - in full as one thing! The whole album is a love letter and tells the story of finding love in the chaos of youth and growing together; it’s a love letter to those carefree days and nights, to the music and feelings that shaped them and to the place we find ourselves in now. It was written during a snapshot in time that feels profoundly pivotal to me - the time between deciding to start a family and becoming a father. These songs are reflective of that , and feel nostalgic for the freedom that was inevitably about to change, they’re the story of how we got to this place and encapsulte for me the emotions felt for the past and the future and the hope for what’s to come. Now that I am a Dad this album has become all the more important to me and puts it in a new light completely. when I wrote these songs I was hoping, but when I finished them I knew. Which is crazy. I didn’t realise when i started writing these songs that it was going to be about love but it became clear that it couldn’t not be! The break through moment creatively being ‘Empty Spaces’ (the third track on the record) which sums up the whole album really, and is the most lyrically dense of all the songs. Playing the harmonica over a kick drum and synth loop felt very exciting and completely new ground to me. So have a go on that as it’s my favourite I think! Thank you to all involved in this , to @tuffmastering for mastering it , to Toni Hollis for her amazing artwork, to Davey Ray @davidraymondreed for the unwavering support, to Rich and everyone at @canvasmusicdistro and @symphonicdistro and most specifically to Ali and Woody who this album is for and about ❤️ Love is king xx 📸 @galle.pablo by @maxradmaxrad
Soooooo on FRIDAY my SECOND ALBUM ‘a love letter’ will be OUT IN THE WORLDDDD 🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍 This album is very very special to me and I really can’t wait for it to be out there as a full thing. ‘Empty Spaces’ is the lead single from the record and this song really sums up the album and tells the story of finding the love that the rest of the record is about. It was written by chance when i found myself spending a day longer on a solo writing trip than I was supposed to due to a broken washing machine , so I thank Miele for the song really. The vinyl is officially available to purchase on my website, link in bio . I cannot wait for you to hear the album in full ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 📸 @galle.pablo by @maxradmaxrad
Massive thanks to @applemusic, @spotify, @amazonmusic and @beatport for adding ‘Stick To Me Like Glue’ the latest track out from @maxradmaxrad’s new album ‘a love letter’ to a tonne of playlists on Friday. Go and check it out! 💿 📸 : @galle.pablo by @maxradmaxrad
‘Stick to me like glue’ is out todayyyy 🧡. I love this song , to me it’s both beautiful and chaotic, and feels like the early days of falling in love. The excitement and the intensity, with the nerves and the mystery. This song is about the decision you make knowing that this relationship feels right and it’s something you absolutely want to happen. The initial idea was made using a Super 6 Udo synth @udo_audio , with this acidy bassline and i just had the first couple of lines. I left it there for an evening and then returned to the idea the next day. I wanted to add something unexpected and the guitar chords felt right and exciting ! And then without thinking i sang ‘stick to me like glue’ and it stuck. pun intended Please enjoy and share ! Big love to all . 🧡 @threesignrecords @canvasmusicdistro Thanks for the support @spotifyuk @spotify @amazonmusic @applemusic 🫶 Good 📸 by @galle.pablo by @maxradmaxrad
Thiiiis Friday 👀 Stick To Me Like Glue : 8th May 🧡 This is the last single before my album ‘A Love Letter’ drops on 29th May . I really can’t wait for this whole project to be out in the world 🌎, it’s an album that was made in one place , in a short period of time and it feels strange to drip feed it when it is best listened to in one sitting ! But the penultimate installment is yours on Friday , and then the full works isn’t too far off !! Big love to all xxx by @maxradmaxrad
The vinyl has arrived for my forthcoming ALBUM ❤️ I love vinyl a lot so this is a veryyyy exciting moment for me personally and what makes it even more exciting is that this vinyl is pink and it’s beautiful . ‘A Love Letter’ is officially on wax and available to BUY and you’ll get your hands on it before the digital album drops 🧡 Link is in my bio by @maxradmaxrad
NEW MUSIC OUT TODAYYYYYYYY Love Around You + my world These are two love songs 🧡 . Love Around You is very special to me and it’s telling someone that no matter what , you support and love them . I can’t really remember making it specifically , but i wanted it to feel dreamlike and like a sonic hug , so enjoy that ! I love the idea of putting your love around someone , creating a space for someone to heal or just be. Just surrounding people you love with love , that’s nice isn’t it My world is also out todayyy and this one i wanted to feel like the music you’d hear in the early 2000’s and be watching the music video on tv when that was all you ever watched , music vids were so good then . My attempt at the kind of song Justin Timberlake and Pharrel might make , but i think i really missed the mark and in a way im happy about that. A love song that’s just saying you’re my world 🌍 🧡 and my attempt at someone 2000’s R&B I hope you enjoy And remember- Love is the meaning of life xx by @maxradmaxrad
On Friday i have got not one but TWO songs coming out !!! ‘Love Around You’ and ‘my world’ 🧡 It’s been glorious being back in the studio over the past couple of weeks and just generally spring is a good time of year isn’t it Friday!!! Cannot wait for these two to be out , presave link is in stories , and alsooooo VINYL is available to buy right now too , i have to remind you of that All the love xx by @maxradmaxrad
Out todayyyyyy 🧡 This song is very special to me and one of those ones where you feel maybe a bit nervous to share with the world but also very excited ! I don’t think i’ve ever sung like this on a song before, but it felt exciting to me when i was writing it , and the whole song sort of happened by accident when a drum machine went out of time with a loop that i’d made and that was the magic that lead to this song happening !! Happy accidents are the ones ! I hope you enjoy it 🫶🫶🫶 @threesignrecords @davidraymondreed by @maxradmaxrad
