POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

BARF Studios is a multidisciplinary creative studio based around the ideological and philosophical imperative to reexamine, and thoroughly Reimagine Humanity.

BARF (an acronym for a Better or Alternative Reality and Future) embodies our playful refusal to accept the apocalyptic narratives set before us in modern life as merely “the way things are.”
‍
We work across spectrums and disciplines of design, architecture, art, food, philosophy, social theory, education, research and experimentation to reshape and reform the stories we tell ourselves or believe possible. Our work aims to dissolve the boundary between critique and creation, speculation and practice, inner transformation and meaningful outer change. To wage war on the spiritually impoverished visions of our lives and the future meted out by the substandard storylines we so often find ourselves caught beliving innevitable.

The bad news is this: it’s never too late to make a change.
Let us help show you that the doors are open, the world is good, and that the way out starts within. by @maxwc

June 9th, 2026 our dear Francis Marie was born. Just as her brother insisted she would. A blissful birth, a healthy departure, and a happy family! Alyse was, as no surprise, incredible.

Francis, apart from the Saint on whose day Theo was born, means ‘free person.’ (Also means ‘Frenchman’ allez les bleus.) We hope and pray Francis is truly a free woman, wild and unburdened from the things that don’t matter, deeply passionate about the things that do. Bugs, snakes, funny sounds you can make with your mouth. With such deep love we welcome another plate on our table, another stocking on the mantle, another little voice in our chorale. by @maxwc
