I turned 50 yesterday…. YUP! I said it… 50! The past 365 days hit different. I knew it was coming… and I was looking forward to it.

I went to the hospital last week with some pressure and pain in my chest. They said it was possible dehydration… I felt like it was stress. The struggles, the challenges, the changes, the decisions, the choices, the reflection and growth is daily.

I wrapped up my 26th year of teaching last month. That felt good. I wrapped up another album with @djjasond (coming soon) this month. We feel good about it (excited actually).

Yesterday I DJ’d a wedding @thelivelyboise and all the employees wished me happy birthday one at a time and the wedding party paused to sing to me. That felt good. I laced up the kicks today and hooped (until my knees started hurting). I still felt good. I’m 24,000 jumps over my 50,000 monthly jump goal with two days to go. That feels good.

Last week was Father’s Day. My kids are happy! That feels good. Next week is my 18th wedding anniversary. We’re happy. That feels good.

You can’t tell me I’m not the greatest! 🙌🏽💯💪🏾👊🏽🥰

Thank you for the calls, the text messages, the dm’s, the mp’s, etc. Thank you for thinking of me! I feel very blessed!

Mondays are my favorite days to deliver self motivation! My workout playlist is named “Monday Morning Motivation” and when randomly played, each song delivers the right vibe to keep me going.

I’ve been working on myself lately… mentally, physically, and spiritually. Just trying to be consistent in all three areas.

I’ve heard that… “Small disciplines repeated with consistency every day lead to great achievements gained slowly over time.” @johncmaxwell

Consistency beats intensity.
Consistency beats volume.
Consistency beats passion.
Consistency dictates results.
Consistency is what defines character. @richroll

Consistency allowed me to crush my goal last month!!

It might be time to raise the bar.

Let’s see how I do this month!

New 30 days… New Challenge…

Another trip around the sun equals a BIG win!! Man… life is beautiful! I can’t complain… or should I say… I’m DONE complaining. Time to be GRATEFUL and show gratitude towards all who I’ve been blessed to come in contact with. 49… and I never stop learning. Never stoped growing… so I apologize if I’ve made mistakes in your presence, I’m sure you’ve judged me… I promise, by 98… I might get it right… but you can bet I won’t stop working at it. It was tough trying to pick just the “allowed” amount of pictures to put in this post… I think I did ok. You’re getting the last year in rewind. Each one of these spoke to my heart… so I tapped on them then ran out of room for more. YOU GET THE PICTURE… RIGHT? I don’t take a lot of pictures of myself… so if you’re in any of these, you know my smile is real. No fakin’ jacks… I don’t have time for that! Sorry if we didn’t take a picture together this year… but come to my party NEXT YEAR and let’s make it happen! See you when I see you! Hopefully it’ll be soon! Thanks to everyone who hit me up today (mom… I’ve been trying to call you back since 8 this morning… I love you!). Words can’t express how much, “My cup runneth over.” That’s real talk. 💯👊🏽✌🏽
