it’s all a part of the process, sometimes my milk is too thick, sometimes too thin, sometimes i wait too long to go in or i don’t wiggle enough, there will be some bad pours, maybe a lot of bad pours along the way but it’s all a learning process.

at the end of the day, it was still a very good cup of coffee!

i know, i know im late to the party with the whole pumpkin pie, spice, PSL and i also know that fall started 9/22 but in Texas we finally hit high 70s this morning and will be mid 80s this whole week so i guess today is officially fall here 🍂🍁✨🤎

here’s a quick pumpkin pie syrup recipe i found online and adjusted for a small batch

3/4 cup pumpkin puree - (i used fresh fresh pumpkin roasted in the oven for 45-55 mins until fork tender)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
sprinkle of salt
1 cup water (adjust for the consistency you want)

whisk until well combined, simmer for 10-15 mins then add a splash of vanilla bean/vanilla once it’s off the heat

keep refrigerated

i used @mccormickspice finishing sugar as a topping and it was the perfect addition! 🫶🏽

Espresso prep is one of the most important part of this process @ikape_products recently sent me their impact coffee tamper from their “Geometry Series” and their double bearing espresso distributor. it feels very nice and premium! i really love the wood accent design in the tamper!

and that tamp is beautiful 🤩

the texture of my milk was a little off here and also maybe it was rushed? i’ve been noticing i do these sudden movements when pouring, anyone else experience this?

otherwise it’s an okay pour, definitely have done better but hey it’s national coffee day so, every cup is a good cup ✨

and also *have as many cup as you want* 😌

also this is original speed, usually i pour for like 20 seconds and have to adjust it when i post the reel but this one’s not too bad 🤎

it’s national coffee day, here are some of my small wins for september! i don’t have the best latte art skills but i enjoy sharing the blobs, the accidental hearts, the barely swan, somewhat of a tulip, some ok, some not haha

i’ve been using a 10oz latte cups for yearssss and so it’s a huge adjustment to learn a cup that’s a bit smaller or maybe it’s just me haha one day, the size won’t matter and i’ll pour a good cup every single time lol
