Thank you Morgan State! From the connections to the lessons this school has helped me grow in ways that 17 year old me would’ve never imagined. Now to be 20 adding another science degree to my belt in as little as 3 years, it all still feels surreal. Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me through this journey, I know it’s been a rollercoaster for all of us lol. Thank you to my coach and team for trusting me to lead. When joining this team as a rookie in 2022 my only goal was to put my best foot forward on the mat. I was so grateful to end that season and not only receive two awards (Rookie of the Year and 110% Award) but also know we did that as a team at nationals. Then getting to serve as Co-captain in 2023 and finally Captain for the 2024-25 season where we got to perform amazing routines at NCA again, I am so fulfilled. Thank you for awarding me with a Captains Award and Best Tumbler award, the bonds and memories created with this team can never be forgotten, I will forever be a proud MSU Cheer Bear. Thank you to my organizations focused in leadership, academic development, and service (Sisters in Medicine, For College Girls, and Body Positivity Association). Thank you to my professors for giving me the opportunity to work as a Research assistant in the Chemistry and Physics departments and for always finding ways to enhance my academic ability. Being here I also got to engage in services like tutoring for Learn to Be, volunteering at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital, and neighborhood clean ups that helped me build a sense of community in Baltimore. At Morgan I got to grow, not only as an athlete, but socially and academically, I am so grateful this school gave me the positive environment to do so. So finally I say… Degree me pleaseeee!😭
