Blonde, bloody, and clearly not making good life choices. 💋🩸”there will be 🩸, run for your life!!” Just a little reminder that looking this good doesn’t mean you a walking red flag. 🚩 ahaha A little gore, a little glam, and an unreasonable amount of commitment to the aesthetic of it all!

✨Last photo is a throw back to last year. Not sure which I like better. ✨

XOXO,
Maya 💋

Something wicked this way comes… 👀🖤

I’ll be haunting the stage at Hallow’s Eve Extravaganza on October 30th for a night of drag, dancing, and spooky queer chaos! 🎃

And listen… I may or may not be bringing some Kim Petras’ spookiness with me. 🩸🔪 Which songs??Absolutely not.

You’re gonna have to come find out. 😈

Join us at Studio Coffee — 211 Dundas St. for a Wortley Pride fundraiser supporting their FREE Holiday Meal! ❤️‍🔥

✨A little Glimmer recap from your favourite chronic pain gremlin. ✨

This month gave me many reasons to feel grateful! Performing, hosting, laughing until my face hurt, spending time with my chosen family, and getting to exist unapologetically as the big, sparkly, queer disaster that I am. 🌈✨

Some months are about surviving. Some months are about healing.

I’m so grateful for every person who has cheered me on, shared a stage with me, taken photos, helped me get ready, hyped me up, or simply showed up.

Drag has given me so much more than a stage. It’s given me community. It’s given me more family. It’s given me a place to become more and more myself.

💚💚💚

My queer joy cup has officially been FILLED TO THE BRIM. 🥹✨

I had the absolute honour of hosting alongside my other mother, @lavenderskyesdrag , and getting to share a stage with someone who has supported, and encouraged me since the beginning!

There’s something extra special about getting to host with someone who feels like family. 💜

From the chaos behind the scenes to the laughs onstage, I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything.

August Maya was sparkly. August Maya was queer. And honestly? Maya was happy. 🥹🌈✨My little queer joy cup is FULL. 💚

✨ GLIMMER, BABY! ✨

I got to hit the stage at Glimmer this month and do what I love most!! So I put on some sparkles, served a little sass (shook a little ass), and shared a room full of queer joy with my community. 🥹✨

Every little “YASSS MAYA!” fills my cup just a little more.

And this chronic pain gremlin is VERY grateful to keep getting the opportunity to make magic onstage. 💚

Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, cheered, and supported Glimmer. You make this community what it is. 🫶

Writing this article reminded me why I keep showing up.

Representation isn’t just about being seen, it’s about making sure other people know there’s room for them, too.

I’m so grateful for spaces like Open Stage London ( @openstagelondonon ), where new performers can take their first steps into drag surrounded by encouragement and community. It’s an incredible place to learn, grow, and discover your voice.

I’m INCREDIBLY proud to help organize Glimmer, ( @yourmonthlyglimmer )a monthly celebration of local talent, queer joy, and community. But every time and anywhere I perform, I hope someone in the audience sees a disabled drag artist on stage and realizes there’s space for them here too.

If you’d like to catch me performing, come join us at Glimmer on the last Thursday of every month!! (I’m actually performing in august)
You could also stop by Open Stage every other Sunday and you may catch me there too. 💚✨

Let’s keep building stages where everyone belongs.

One of my favourite parts of writing for Queer Hive Magazine wasn’t just telling my own story, it was finally getting read everyone else’s articles!!

Disability looks different for each of us. Some disabilities are visible, others aren’t. Some affect how we move, some affect how we experience the world, and many come with challenges that most people never see.

Seeing other disabled voices represented in one place reminded me why visibility matters. Not because we’re looking for inspiration points or sympathy, but because we deserve to be seen as artists, performers, friends, leaders, and community members.

Thank you to the others who shared their stories alongside mine. Every story makes our community stronger and helps someone else feel a little less alone. ☺️☺️ (@kunty_the_klown @charitygrandma )

I’m incredibly proud to be part of this project. 💚
