POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I met Rheba at @manolosbakeryclt today after interviewing the owner Manolo Betancur who says his business is deeply suffering with the presence of ICE and Customs and Border Protection. Rheba took video of CBP officers interrogating workers at her Charlotte home this morning. We reached out to DHS for more information about these officers but did not hear back.

✨FORBES 30 UNDER 30✨
•
Y’all I’m actually at a loss for words with this one and I’ve tried to type this caption out too many times. This recognition is so much bigger than me, it’s a representation of every friend, family member, teacher, mentor and colleague that's been on this journey with me.
•
It's a representation of every pitch, story, source, expert and voice I've spoken to along my career. The late nights, back to back weekends worked, flights, doubts, rejections, fears and frustrations. The wins, the firsts, the joys and big swings that have all happened in the last 10 years.
•
I want to genuinely thank all of YOU, because you’re also a part of this story, and I share this win with you.
•
This year has been one of the most challenging for me in a long time, so this acknowledgment is coming right on time. If you’ve also been going through it, please know you are not alone. And sometimes we gotta just let the universe cook and simmer, because after the storm - the flowers bloom. 🌷
•
•
My nomination came from a mentor turned friend, @kayangrum and I cannot be more thankful for your presence in my life!

Some of you maybe know me, some of you may not, so I’m taking the time to re-introduce myself to everyone!
•
None of this would be possible without your support and the hard work of my amazing team. My life is far from perfect, some days on my job are very difficult, but I do feel blessed to be where I am today. More adventures to come! Thanks for being here ☺️

Traveled down to Mobile to Montgomery, Alabama to cover Hurricane Isaias for @msnownews
•
We were able to speak with a ton of people before and after the storm that brought flooding, down trees and high winds. Sadly, at least four people have died because of the storm.
•
Thankful for my team’s expert knowledge and all the shows we were able to work with. Wishing everyone down there a smooth recovery as repairs continue.

Take a deep breath and keep hanging in there friends....

because the days and moments that make our hearts sing....

the marked events we had on our calendars to enjoy with our favorite people....

the minutes, days, chapters, years we wish we could jump back to...

moments that made us forget the stress and forget where we were for a split second....

moments we were proud of, worked for and push through....

Each one - becomes a memory the moment it passes

Gentle reminder to myself that rushing to tomorrow, next week or next year, isn't the goal. Enjoying the moments in between - the moments that become beautiful memories, savoring them in real time regardless of how simple they may be, that is a true talent and gift. taken in Brooklyn Bridge, New York City by @mayaeaglin

I spoked with Sherrod Brown who is the Democratic candidate running to fill an Ohio senate seat in congress against Republican Jon Husted.
•
Brown supporters told me his focus on working class Americans and lowering prices earned their votes. Some of his critics I spoke with at the Saturday Trump rally said they think his previous three terms as senator was enough.
•
I asked Jon Husted a question in person at the rally but he didn’t answer.

These aren’t your typical grandmas. The Pissed Off Grandmas of Omaha, Nebraska take any anger and frustration they have at the current political climate and turn it into action.

The group sings songs of peace and protest, registers their community members to vote and stops to speak with people across political lines about the state of our country.

MS NOW’s @mayaeaglin spoke with two of the founding members about the brighter future they hope is ahead for everyone in America.

There are 29 days until the midterm election, and all across the country we have been seeing protests and marches this year to call for changes to our immigration enforcement, economy and involvement in foreign conflict.

In this episode of Democracy Defenders, MS NOW’s @mayaeaglin traveled to Chicago to meet with organizers and activists honoring Dr. Martin Luther King’s march in Marquette Park 60 years ago. His daughter joined hundreds who came from across the country to call for collective action and continue to legacy of protest in America.

@mayaeaglin spoke with people in New York and got their reactions to Trump’s promise that he would send $5,000 to “every adult citizen” in the country if the GOP holds the House and Senate come November.

Congress has not authorized Trump’s so-called dividend, and the scheme does not come with an explanation of where the money would come from. #trumpdividend #midterms2026 #costofliving by @mayaeaglin
