It’s funny how life works sometimes, but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around the possibility that Hannah waited for me to come home from school before she began her journey across the rainbow.

If you’ve known me for a while, you know that Hannah and I were pretty inseparable. Hannah was my Covid pup and spent so much of her time with me in my room, “attending” online classes, going on long walks while she squeaked the shit out of her spikey balls, and also trying to get along with her siblings (she wasn’t the biggest fan of other dogs at the time). But most of all, we enjoyed so much of our time together in the car. Hannah and I absolutely loved car rides, which was a tradition that began over the pandemic. We traveled thousands of miles together listening to music, driving the back roads late at night, and just being in each other’s presence. Like any family member, she was always there when I needed her most, especially during some of the toughest points in my life.

Missing her will be the biggest blessing I carry moving forward, and I’m so thankful for everyone who has given Hannah any sort of love and affection over the past 6 years. I love my Banana and I can’t wait to see her again soon🩷🖤 by @mayagthompson

My kinda paradise.

Still can’t express how shocked I am from the outcome of this season. Going into the start of the year, I had many obstacles in front of me, both mentally and emotionally. I want to thank my coach, teammates, friends and family for their constant support in getting me to achieve my goals above and beyond.

Everything is starting to click for me and I hope to bring the connections I made from cross into my next two seasons of my sophomore year!! by @mayagthompson
