there is a cost to the oil

Isaiah 10:27 says, “the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing of the oil.” oil cannot be made without the CRUSHING of the olives. you will experience crushing.
we all want the victories without the battles, we want new life without the dying to self. we want it to be easy.
crushing can look like feeling invisible, yet remaining faithful anyways. it can cost you comfort and relationships. it can mean confusion, not knowing what God is doing in this season.
it means constantly surrendering all you have at the feet of Jesus. surrendering looks like seeking. seek Him even when nothing makes sense - and trust that He still does.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. God doesn’t need perfection, He needs OBEDIENCE. He’s not requiring your flawlessness, He’s requiring your “yes”. so trust in the Lord and stay faithful, even when it’s hard. because it WILL be hard. by @mayalahood
