Over the past two months, I participated in my last competition season with DHDA. We did 4 total and Expressions was our last. There were a lot of tears, a lot of stress, yet an overwhelming amount of love and support from absolutely everyone. Typically before I dance, I get stressed because I want to do my best. Honestly, I also want to place lol. But this year was different. Yes, I still wanted to do my best, but I also wanted it to FEEL like my best. Therefore I tried to focus on actually dancing and feeling the choreography rather than what I would score. That’s what made this season feel so much more special. It was special because it was genuine. It was special because there was a lot going on, and I was trying to take in every moment. It was bittersweet, yet it was unforgettable.

To my teacher Mindy who has taught me EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. Solo, duet, groups, etc. You’ve taught me to become a better teammate, dancer, AND person. You’ve taught me to let go, and let God. There is not one thing you’ve said that wont stick with me forever. So thank you. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for pushing me even when I don’t want to be pushed. Thank you for always being there to support me and our team, no matter what.

-To Faith, who choreographed my second solo. Thank you for putting in the time to bring out the best in me. Thank you for being an incredible leader and friend. You’ve been there for me through the thick and thin and I could not be more grateful to have a friend like you. I love getting to do senior year with you and all of the other girls. Thank you for being you.

To my duet partner Amberlyn. You are SUCH a special kid. You’ve grown so much in the past year and I am SO beyond proud of you. You’re not just my duet partner. You’re my “little best friend” and I truly cannot wait to see where God takes you.

Lastly, thank you to @debbiehuffmandance for being my second home. Thank you to EVERYONE for always being so supportive. This place is a real family, and I could not be more grateful for every single one of you. I will forever cherish the memories we’ve made. I love you ALL so much.🩵

How blessed am I to have had the opportunity to travel abroad to spread the love of God? This trip has been such a blessed, eye opening experience. We all felt so spirited, led, and so many other things I can’t even explain. God is so so good. His trip was proof that Gods love shows no boundaries. The devil tried to stop us. He definitely put up a fight, but God is so much stronger. We’ve gained brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ve cried, laughed, prayed, sang, and more.
