The most beautiful day at the breathtaking old home of the previous royal family of #türkiye @dolmabahce_sarayi was the home of #sultanmehed #sultanabdulmecid #sultanabdulmajid #sultanabdulaziz #sultanmurad to name a few iconic names and was the last home of #mustafakemalatatürk before he sadly passed . The building is just spectacular and the state room with the #royalturkish decor just incredible. Unfortunately you couldn’t take photos inside . I love finding archive photos at my mum’s place . I found this one of mum and the late HRH princess Maryam of Afghanistan 🇦🇫. She was the second daughter of king Mohammed Zahir shah and queen humaira begum and was a qualified doctor and humanitarian. Most importantly she was like a big sister to my mum and even though my mum wasn’t royalty 🫅🏻 she treated her like one . I also love that both are wearing traditional clothes . My mum wearing a traditional balochi Kurta from my dad’s village proudly and princess Maryam wearing traditional Afghani clothes in the middle of London .
