Muito feliz de contar que foi lançado hoje a tarde a última edição do Cosmic Bulletin, editado pela revista @e_flux , na qual saiu uma versão do meu ensaio sobre Vladmir Komarov e a artefatualidade catastrófica. Agradeço a Hallie Ayres (@hall_yeah) e Maya Tounta (@mayatounta) pela maravilhosa edição do texto e das imagens, e recomendo a quem se interessar a perder um tempo nesse site, pois é um documento incrível sobre pensamentos radicais da imaginação cósmica.

O Cosmic Bulletin “busca propagar uma série de imaginários radicais informados por uma infinidade de sistemas de conhecimento e sustentados pela experimentação coletiva. O Instituto do Cosmos é um projeto de pesquisa coletivo iniciado por Arseny Zhilyaev e Anton Vidokle e o Boletim é a plataforma de publicação do Instituto”.

Agradeço demais meus amigues e amores que estão sempre dando aquela força pra gente pulverizar nossas coisas pelo mundo: a tradução foi do super @pedro_pneves e sem a leitura e longas conversas com @hermanocallou isso nao teria acontecido ❤️. Obrigada @tuca_de_oliveira e @ceciliacavalieri que me botaram pilha de enviar o texto e sempre à @cezar_bartholomeu e @gabriel__tupinamba que estiveram no princípio de tudo quando a pesquisa nasceu.

Esperançosa afinal, porque apesar de tudo foi possível, no brasil de 2020, não ser completamente sugada pelo encolhimento de nossa vida interior e dialogar com o mundo e o universo.

Essa versão em inglês é um pouco diferente daquela em português que está na @revista_rosa_ . Mas quem tiver dificuldade com a língua e ainda quiser ler a versão inglês, eu sempre recomendo a extensão do Google tradutor que traduz direto a página da web inteira. Dá pra quebrar um galho pra ler os outros textos. by @mayanaredin

This sculpture was conceived to be filmed. As with some works I have been developing in recent years, the sculpture as a stage or location where some event can occur, leaving them as a remain (like a platform that stays at the ground after the rocket launches, for example), motivates me to experiment with this type of scenic installation. Finally, the idea of a permutation between the event itself, the monitoring/observarion, and the recording always made me think about the relationship between sculpture and duration/time.

Esta escultura foi concebida para ser filmada. Assim como em alguns trabalhos que venho experimentando nos últimos anos, a escultura como palco ou local onde um evento pode ocorrer, deixando-a para trás como um resto (como uma plataforma que fica no solo depois que o foguete é lançado, por exemplo), me motivou a experimentar esse tipo de escultura “cênica”. E por fim a ideia de uma permutação entre o evento em si, o monitoramento e a gravação me fez pensar sempre na relação entre a escultura e a duração/o tempo. @sitterwerk @prohelvetia_southamerica taken in Sitterwerk by @mayanaredin

Last burning and evaporating events that happened before I leave the Sitterwerk Residency studio, in StGallen, Switzerland ✨

I am very grateful for all the support I received at @sitterwerk and @kunstgiesserei_sg through the @prohelvetia_southamerica fellowship during these 3 months, which I spent conducting experiments, researching, and sharing so much knowledge. I am very grateful to the entire team and the kind people of this incredible and unforgettable place. And I am truly happy to have the opportunity to go to a place I never imagined I could visit. I especially thank Patrícia Hartmann @pathat_ for her support throughout the residency period and @noelhochul for all his help in the production of the works and experiments 🥰 taken in Sitterwerk by @mayanaredin

My last week in this super special place where I’ve been living since June, the Sitterwerk Foundation @sitterwerk, in St. Gallen, Switzerland, supported by @prohelvetia_southamerica.

I am extremely grateful for the incredible opportunity to be here, learning so much and experiencing things that will certainly be very important for my imagination and futures realizations 💫🥲 I hope that the news works and ideias could be a thermometer that measures the intense experiences I have living these days. All my acknowledgement to everybody from @sitterwerk, @prohelvetia_southamerica and @kunstgiesserei_sg.

Mayana Redin apresentou o filme Astronauta e Cosmonauta no programa Öpper Öppis, da Sitterwerk Foundation, onde realiza uma residência artística em St. Gallen, na Suíça.

A Sitterwerk é um complexo cultural que reúne Arquivo de Materiais, Biblioteca de Arte e uma fundição especializada em escultura. A residência de Mayana conta com o apoio da Pro Helvetia e da Sitterwerk Foundation.
