In my line of work, I try to pay attention to the independent music scene wherever I am, home or away. Since I’ve called St. Pete home, that’s become impossible to ignore, for better or worse. Late Nights in St. Pete — Episode 001: Sleepless in St. Pete

While Meow Cast has mostly focused on carefully curated studio sessions and home recordings, Late Nights in St. Pete captures something different — real moments from the dancefloor, recorded live during our nights at The Nest in St. Petersburg, Florida.

For the first installment, we welcome Sleepless in St. Pete, a duo of local legends whose deep roots in the underground scene have helped shape countless late nights and unforgettable dancefloors throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Recorded live on 4/24/26 in front of a room full of dancers, this session drifts through deep atmospheric textures, hypnotic rhythms, minimal grooves, and rolling house cuts — the kind of sounds built for late nights, lost hours, and those moments when nobody wants to go home.

No edits.
No second takes.
Just a snapshot of what happened when the music took over.
