Attempting to take on the perspective of a non-human life is captured in the German word, “umwelt”.

Today I sent an email to all of the county commissioners of #ManateeCounty in Florida because of a development project that threatens many acres of continuous #mangroves!

Mangroves are BUFFERS that protect us from #hurricanes, absorbing wind and water!

They naturally prevent the #erosion of #coastlines with their roots, and naturally help clean #water.

They are a #nursery habitat for incredible biodiversity, which also supports local fishing and economy!

Partnering with #seagrass beds, they provide habitat for #manatees, #dolphins, #seaturtles, #seahorses, sea stars (#starfish) and beyond.

The destruction of mangroves (which are already protected by the #MangroveProtectionAct- making it illegal to cut or trim without permit) WOULD DAMAGE WATER QUALITY IN A WAY THAT WOULD TAKE DECADES TO RECOVER!

Do you live in or around Manatee County? Plan on visiting Florida any time soon? Want clean water instead of dead fish and #redtide?

Please consider emailing all of the county commissioners of Manatee County! It doesn’t matter if you don’t live in #Florida. It doesn’t matter if they say public comment period is over!

Chùa Tam Thai…

There I was, sitting in meditation at the feet of a giant Buddha, surrounded by nature, silence, and stillness.

As I breathed deeper, I was reminded that the true journey is not about traveling to distant places, but about returning to ourselves.

We search for meaning in the world around us, yet the greatest discoveries are often found within.

Sometimes all it takes is a moment of stillness to remember that peace, wisdom, and love have been living inside us all along.

The elephant walks gently, even carrying a body so vast.
A reminder that true strength does not need violence.

Yes i film events!
It was an incredible gathering at Mana Tea Kava bar! We did yoga with J, sang kirtan, we did the bula bula and danced! Thank you Maya for putting this together so we can play 💙 shout out to Yassine for the incredible tunes✨

The world can be loud,
confusing, sometimes heavy
like waves that don’t ask
if we are ready or not.

But inside…
there is another place.
A quiet place.
A still breath that says: you are OkAY.

When the heart is calm,
even chaos becomes just a passing wind.
It touches, it moves,
but it does not break.

Everything passes…
the storms, the doubts, the fear.
Time keeps walking,
and we keep learning how to walk with it.

So hold your peace gently,
protect it like something sacred.
Because when you are strong inside,
no outside storm can take you down.

Life goes…
and in the end,
what stays

Doing what I love, playing volleyball, I ended up learning one of life’s little (and not-so-little 😅) lessons. I got injured and will be having surgery tomorrow. Life has its ways of reminding us to slow down, listen, and trust.

This Saturday, even with this challenge, my heart will still be at the event, connecting people, just as it always has. Because this is what I believe in: real connections, chosen family, friends who become home. And in moments like this, I clearly see how blessed I am to be surrounded by hearts that feel like family 🙏🏽💕

Whether I’m physically there or cheering from a healing space, Heart Connection is bigger than one body, one moment, or one circumstance. The seed has been planted 🌱💕 and seeds grow, even when we rest.

My wish is simple and intentional: may this event continue to connect souls, open hearts, and remind us that love, presence, and community are what truly matter.

Life gave me a challenge and I answer it with trust, gratitude, and love.
