Hi Bookstagram!

Ahhh I’m super excited to start my journey here and share a little of everything bookish, from my publishing internship to my favourite books!

Here are a few things about me but I would love to be book friends 🫶🏼

Happy Monday Lovelies!

It’s book review time!!! Okay so I went to book club yesterday and I think my thoughts are fully fleshed out now.

I was not the target audience for The Night Circus, I personally felt like if I read it when I was younger I would have different opinions but right now it wasn’t for me.

The pacing, characters and overall story fell a bit flat for me. For the mains Marco and Celia, I truly felt like I didn’t learn much about them as people other than their upbringing and history with the challenge and that made it difficult for me to connect with them when they fell in love and made the (spoiler) sacrifice at the end to save the circus. And I had similar thoughts with the other characters, I felt that I didn’t learn enough about them to care about what happens to them.

Although I did love the twins and their story. I think having them be magical beings and integrating them into the regular world in a different way than Marco and Celia was super fun.

Another thing I need to give flowers to is the world building. The POV chapters were really great and I did have fun imagining what the circus looks like.

Tiktok saw it first but……Last weekend I had the chance to help out Simon & Schuster with their Lynn Painter events and I was screaming!

It was such a fun experience and definitely one of the highlights of my internship. Lynn Painter was so amazing and super funny, I will never forget this🍂🍂

If you haven’t read Trust Fall yet, you need to get on it!

i have been getting such a warm welcome to booksta🤭🤭 and super excited to start posting here more.

Other than that I have surprisingly been reading a decent amount recently, so I thought i’d made this post as a little intro to my reading taste but also as a little wrap up of what I have been up to
