Flashback to when I was singing at Hershey Park! Super fun. That's my "ghost" face, white foundation and black everything else. by @mayatremblay_actor

Horseback riding is a true joy. I absolutely love it. I know I’m not a pro, yet! I say yet, because after speaking with the pros, I know I have what it takes to be one. Basically just fearlessness. Knowing that horses have a mind and opinion of their own, and not being afraid of that. There will be falls. It’s inevitable. Not being afraid to fall off is super important, because the horse can sense your fear. I think part of the excitement of riding is that unknown! The unknown of whether the horse will do something totally unexpected, rear up at the smell of a snake, or kick at the horse behind you, refuse to take a direction (like stop or go) or unexpectedly pick up their speed. I’m still working on my own mechanics and communication skills with those majestic creatures, but those skills are imminently learnable. Balance, strength, posture and the other physical aspects are very doable. taken in Los Angeles, California by @mayatremblay_actor

Ok so we didn’t teach the social lift in level 3, but it was a long and beautiful combo for them which had a lot of technically challenging mechanics for both leads and follows. I finally added some flower hand styling to a demo, and despite inflexible hands and fingers that generally prefer the “claw” shape it turned out ok! Lol! Always improving and having fun while doing it. Smooth flow with familiar moves in unfamiliar patterns. Omg the talent in this class is incredible. Always a joy to dance and play with this fabulous family of dancers! Great job to the 3 follows who made it happen with twice as many leads. #salsaon1 #salsainstructor #salsadancer #seattledancers #salsadancer @bravodanceschool @salsaymotionstudio @ricoelbravo @ricobravoseattle @rico_y_emmy by @mayatremblay_actor

What an incredibly fun song! A piccolo? sounded like little birds tweeting out the melody. I really enjoyed subbing in for this level 3 partnering plus shines class. Even though I would say shines are not a strong suit of mine (proven again in this demo) at least students were able to practice some easier shine inspiration movements and learn a few additional fundamental principles about it. (Bonus! Testing your eye movement and focus agility with framing and mirror use, this was shot in landscape originally. Lol!) Come join us, dancing feeds the soul. #salsaon1 #salsadancers #salsainstructor #seattledancers #latinsocialdancing @bravodanceschool @salsaymotionstudio @ricoelbravo @ricobravoseattle @rico_y_emmy by @mayatremblay_actor

Super fun and helpful class, I swear you can dance an entire song with just combining these moves in different orders. First, face keyhole drape to cross body “titanic” and “touch and go” to “sombrero” double drape with cross body to free spin. Flick to hammerlock, cross body traveling turn and more! Yall be on fire! Huge class, lots of improvement and playful energy is what makes our Bravo family a special community for everyone. #salsaon1 #salsainstructor #salsadancer #seattledance #salsaladystyle @bravodanceschool @ricoelbravo @ricobravoseattle @rico_y_emmy @salsaymotionstudio by @mayatremblay_actor

I am always surprised when salsa class is twice the size as bachata because it doesn’t have to be sensual or full of fancy footwork. It can behave very similarly to salsa but with a mellow vibe. The reason salsa and bachata go hand in hand is the change of pace they afford each other. Yes, bachazouk and fusion sensual is in high demand but that doesn’t mean modern bachata isn’t alive and well. Check out this combo! So much fun. #bachataladystyle #seattledance #seattledancers #bachataistakingover #bachatainstructor Very special thanks to Jordan for taking great video! by @mayatremblay_actor

EVERYONE makes mistakes. EVERYONE. Don’t let that stop you. Dance is movement to the music! And when connected to a partner, it’s even better. You can always be having fun, especially in the unexpected moments! My favorite move was the first turn- which is led with an unexpected arm/shoulder that only works if the follow has good frame. Loved teaching this class with the wonderful @piggott_mark who makes everything fun. I love how we never take ourselves too seriously. @salsaymotionstudio @bravodanceschool @ricoelbravo @rico_y_emmy @ricobravoseattle #salsaon1 #salsapartnerwork #salsadancers #salsadanceclass #seattledance taken in Bravo Dance School by @mayatremblay_actor

@ricoelbravo is such a fantastic lead, he “listens” while guiding, giving followers an ability to participate in the musical conversation. Never abandoned, always supported and given the freedom to express themselves to the music as well. That’s what a great lead can offer.
