My debut EP ‘Pieces’ is now available wherever you listen to music 🤍

I’m so grateful to share with you this assortment of genre-variable, mixed-fidelity records—all of which were crafted from scratch with love and intention over the past five years. I hope these songs find a place in the soundtrack of your life.

I owe an enormous thank you to my collaborators. I’m so lucky to have worked with these producers, instrumentalists, engineers, and friends—my younger self is still trembling in disbelief about some of these names.

first real big girl show 🥹💗 surreal. thank you so much @thesundropgarden @greatamericanmusichall @goldenvoicebayarea for having me as direct support

this opportunity was such an impetus for growth—sometimes you need a lil pressure to push you past the inertia of comfort. but after a lot of prep, we pulled it off. and it was the first time i wasn’t a ball of nerves onstage, which is a huge w for me. and it was…fun even?? haha had some growing pains for sure, but i’m ready to take the lessons and continue to level up 💗 thank you so much to my incredible band and literally EVERYONE who made this possible (you know who you are). it really takes a village. thinking about all the love and support i have is makin me cry lol i think it’s time to stop typing now 🤪 if you missed us this time, we’re playing again 5/17 @brickmortarsf 💗 promise we’ll get a band photo at the next one ✨ taken in Great American Music Hall by @mayaunagi

‘Stumbling’, the second single off my EP, Pieces, is out now wherever you listen to music! 🤍🌿

I wrote it as a love letter from the perspective of my current self to my younger self, and in turn from my elder self to present self. it’s a tender invitation to look back with kinder eyes~ I hope you take it 🫂🌸

the track was made soooo lush and gorgeous by the collaborators I had the pleasure and privilege of working with—still pinching myself as type this out 🥹

“Mirage”, the third and final single off my EP ‘Pieces’, is out now wherever you listen to music 💙 my proudest work to date.

This record is extra special as it weaves my orchestral roots, relics and echoes from lives past, and my present as a solo artist. And recording it @revival.la with these legends was a dream. Itai and I always joke this song could be straight out of an italian 70s film score lol. I hope it transports you 🌀 may I birth timeless records like this for the rest of my days ✨

in addition to being mother’s day, sunday marked the first birthday of “stumbling” 🤍🌿

i am a daughter and a mother (of canines and of song). and for the first time, i am simultaneously a teacher and a student too. as both, i’ve had to get more comfortable stumbling.

as a student: surrendering to failure. falling and getting back up (over and over again). peeling back the layers of ego and cynicism to uncover the curiosity and joy at the root.

as a teacher: nurturing a loving, healthy relationship with music. helping my students embrace stumbling in place of shame and censure. i refuse to perpetuate the classical music trauma many of us endured lmao

to anyone and everyone who has listened and loved—thank you. this industry is ruthless, but it heals me to receive sweet messages, hear you sing it back live, and see it soundtrack the quiet moments (shoutout peloton yoga!) 🩷 by @mayaunagi
