Hello!! It's been a long time since I've shared art online, but today I'm finally sharing a new piece! It's a love letter to Spirited Away (my favorite Ghibli movie) and to the magic of visiting Japan. Can you spot all the Ghibli easter eggs 👀?

I started this drawing in 2022, the last year I regularly posted my art online. I finished the linework that year but realized my skills weren't up to par for how I wanted to light and color the scene, so I set the drawing aside. At the same time, I realized I had been losing my artistic compass in the social media grind. I took these 3 years off to make lots of bad drawings, some good ones, and to explore art on my own terms. This year I started to tap into something that genuinely feels like "me." I feel like a little kid again, drawing what I like without justification. I won't lie, it feels super scary to post art publicly again! But I realized I'll never feel ready, so here I am. For anyone who's read this, thank you ❤️ and I hope you'll tune in as I continue to share more! Chihiro and Haku from Spirited Away leave a convenience store in modern Japan called SpiritMart. Around them are spirits from various Studio Ghibli movies, including Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service. by @maycat_art

My take on Coco in modern fashion! I'm loving the show and I was inspired to play dress up hehe. Might draw all the Witch Hat girls 👀

I was seized by the need to try out the Frieren looking up challenge. It was such an educational exercise, and of course difficult 😭! I know I don't have the "right angle" but I'm still proud of the final drawing. Included a pic of my references for fun! There's always more to learn.

“Even a witch needs help flying sometimes” (2020)

It's been a rough week mentally for me, so here's a repost of one of my favorite illustrations from 2020. I'm actually thinking about redrawing it... there are certain lighting and composition adjustments I think could be really improved! If you're an artist, how do you feel about redrawing old art? Please let me know :) I haven't done it much, so I'm nervous to haha

My piece for @jujutsukaisenzine 😊! It was such a challenge for me to draw this many characters in one illustration, and also I struggled with the colors and composition a lot. Drawing is hard haha...
