I haven’t released anything as Maydar in years. There are plenty of reasons why, but I won’t get in to those right now (you’ll get everything in due time, I promise!!).

But despite everything that’s been going on, I’ve never stoped making music. Cuz at the end of the day, writing is one of the few things that truly makes me feel human in a world that sometimes feels more and more detached for every passing day. I promised myself way back that I’d never forget that, and I intend to keep that promise forever.

What I’m trying to say is: I’ve actually made allot of songs during the years. Cuz I’ve had plenty to process, and as usual, plenty to say :)) On September 8th, you’ll get to hear the first of many songs to come. It’s called feminine energy, it’s written and produced by me, and it’s about… almost everything. If you read this far ~ I guess if you’re along for the ride?! Hope so!! Puss puss by @maydarmusic

”feminine energy” is out now!!!! I honestly don’t know how to summarize it better than that it’s about being apathetic, horny and furious at the same time. The girls that get it, get it.

S/o to @allthebestmarkwest for mix & master and @tara_shanahan for filming the lyric video in her empty apartment with a camera our mom bought in 2007. Ti amo tanto!!!! Puss hej by @maydarmusic

I wrote ”feminine energy” from a place of feeling apathetic and furious at the same time. So much has changed in Sweden over the past few years that I don’t even know where to focus my discontent or will to work for a change. Like – Teenage deportations, the denying of a genocide, snitch laws, ignoring climate change, lowering the age of criminal responsibility… Ugh. I don’t recognize the country I grew up in.

I could write an essay about all the things I feel and fear regarding the upcoming election, but I’ll let the coming music speak for itself. Feminine energy is out now <3 by @maydarmusic
