Queer joy is not going anywhere.

The world is on fire right now and pieces like Walrus in the Body of a Crocodile are speaking out against the oppression LGBTQIA+ people face every single day. Art is a lense in which to see the world differently and in times like these, art is all we have sometimes. I simply adore this cast, every single person is insanely talented and beautiful inside and out. This is such a personal piece to me and being able to experience this with this group of people is such a privilege. This has been my favorite rehershal process for any show I’ve done just because of how close we all are now. My cast, I adore you until the end of time. To production, thank you for everything, you are all so kind and talented it’s insane. Thank you for everyone who came to see this show, and please fight for trans rights. Trans rights are human rights❤️

~With the guardians of splendor inviting you to dance~

To me, Pippin has always been about trying to find your place in the world, the need for success, and the desire for genuine human connection in spite of your own self doubts. It’s about getting beaten down and getting back up again and I could not think of a better show to spend my last year of YAE performing. I’ve been a part of this program for years and I’ve gotten the great honor of working with some of the most amazing people in the process.
