No one should be trapped in a lease and be a victim of domestic violence. I appreciate Councilmember Ross’ @tiaranross leadership in exploring ways to remove housing barriers for survivors of domestic violence. As a city, we are in full support of assisting domestic violence survivors. I stand ready to work on solutions that prioritize safety and access to stable housing. by @mayor_ginther

Yesterday, I worshiped at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and had the pleasure of being with Pastor Little for his second pastoral anniversary. It's been a pleasure to see you lead and grow this amazing church. by @mayor_ginther

I was honored to accept Power Clean Future’s Environmental Champion Award last night on behalf of the City of Columbus! My Sustainable Columbus team is leading our City’s efforts to implement the Columbus Climate Action Plan and to keep our community prosperous and healthy now and in the future. Our Buildings & Energy Coordinator, Cassie Johnson, also received a Clean Energy Staff Champion Award for her leadership in solar, energy efficiency, and work toward a building energy performance policy. Columbus is proud to stand with other Ohio cities that are leading and innovating for a safe and healthy environment! by @mayor_ginther

I encourage interested residents to submit an application to serve on the Community Crisis Response Advisory Board. These appointments will ensure diverse community representation and participation in the city’s alternative crisis response programming, and will build on our progress to deliver the right compassionate care when people in crisis call 9-1-1. by @mayor_ginther

We gathered to remember those we’ve lost, honor those who continue to serve, and reaffirm the bond between the Columbus Division of Fire and the community it protects. Their service inspires all who wear the uniform. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. Mayor Ginther and another are conversing outdoors near a road. One is wearing a red shirt and sunglasses, and the other is in a gray suit with a striped tie and holding a folder. In the background, several Columbus Fire Department trucks and people are present. by @mayor_ginther

Yesterday’s Big Table conversations across Columbus highlighted the value of bringing people together to tackle meaningful challenges.
Groups gathered to discuss how to better support and connect our youth, ways to reduce traffic fatalities along Cleveland Avenue, and how we strengthen civic trust to take on major projects in our city.
These were just a few of the many conversations happening across Columbus — each helping shape practical solutions for our community. by @mayor_ginther

Our partnership with @goauntflow continues to move Columbus forward. With free period product dispensers now in every major sports venue, we’re making basic access part of the fan experience.
Today’s Big Table underscored how practical, collaborative efforts like this help strengthen accessibility across our city. Grateful to everyone who joined the conversation and to our partners working to make Columbus more inclusive. @ignitehercbus by @mayor_ginther

Need medical help? Call 911. We’ll help get you to the right care.

Columbus’ new Nurse Health Care Navigation Line gives some 911 callers with non-emergency medical needs the option to speak directly with a nurse.

That nurse can help connect you with the care that fits your needs, whether that’s an ambulance, urgent care, a same-day appointment or telehealth.

If it’s an emergency, you’ll still get emergency help.

It’s a new way we’re working to get Columbus residents the right care, at the right time, while keeping emergency resources available for those who need them most.

The City of Columbus is seeking public feedback on Zone In Phase II, the next step in modernizing our 70-year-old zoning code.

The draft covers more than 70,000 parcels, about 41% of the city. It focuses on additional mixed-use corridors, industrial and warehouse districts, and major business and institutional campuses. It would also open the door for more housing, increasing the capacity for new homes to 119,000 over the next 10 years, up from 13,000. The proposal will create clearer zoning rules and support jobs and investment, too.

Comments are open through Oct. 24. Review the draft and take the online survey, or visit the Zone In Public Gallery at 141 N. Front St. to see maps and talk with the team. Click on the link in my bio to learn more. @dodcolumbus by @mayor_ginther

President of the Bronzeville Neighborhood Association and community advocate Willis Brown celebrated the groundbreaking of the Bronzeville/Mount Vernon Safety Improvements alongside @mayor_ginther, @columbusdps and @cbusneighbor. These improvements are a major @visionzerocbus win and will create a safer, more connected neighborhood where our children feel safe walking and families are comfortable biking. by @mayor_ginther
