We proclaimed September 28th as Wu-Tang Clan Day in Albuquerque. 👐

The Wu-Tang Clan has a long history in our city, from their first concert here in the ’90s, to playing chess at our iconic Jack Candelaria Community Center, a free concert in 2023 and now returning last night to the First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater.

From the stage to the chessboard, Wu-Tang has left its mark on Albuquerque. Wu-Tang is forever. 👐

At yesterday’s State of the City, I laid out a vision for Albuquerque’s next chapter: moving from a mindset of scarcity to one of abundance.

That means putting public safety first, reducing the everyday friction government can create, and putting more of our City’s land, buildings, and resources to work for the people who own them - you.

We are making government genuinely useful in people’s everyday lives and building a city where more is possible together. by @mayorkeller

Valerie Flores has been taking the UNM Lobos and the 505 with her to College GameDay stops all across the country, making sure New Mexico is represented wherever college football is happening.

Thanks for repping the Lobos and the Land of Enchantment, Valerie!

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day across Albuquerque!

We celebrated Indigenous Peoples Day at events across Albuquerque, honoring the cultures and contributions of Native communities. We also had the opportunity to meet Shiyazh Pete, the first Navajo Nation member to sign with an NFL team, whose achievement is inspiring the next generation of Native athletes.

We honor the achievements and enduring presence of Native communities across our city and state. by @mayorkeller

Hey @CollegeGameDay, the 505 is calling! 🏈🌶️

When the New Mexico Lobos take on North Dakota State, there’s no better place to be than Albuquerque! The Lobos are building something special, and it’s time to show the nation what Lobo football and the 505 are all about! And to sweeten the deal, we’ll GUARANTEE you a hot air balloon ride over Albuquerque.

GameDay in the Land of Enchantment. Let’s make it happen!

Celebrating a legacy of service.

More than 50 years ago, Virginia “Ginger” Lee Grossetete helped open Palo Duro Senior Center as Albuquerque’s first senior center. As its first employee and supervisor, she helped establish programs that became a model for senior services across our city.

Today, her impact continues to shape how we serve older adults. Thank you, Ginger, for more than five decades of dedication to Albuquerque’s seniors! by @mayorkeller

Scammers are always finding new ways to separate people from their money. Today, we’re taking one of those tools off the table.

We signed the City’s Virtual Currency Ordinance into law, prohibiting physical cryptocurrency ATMs and cashier-facilitated crypto transactions in Albuquerque.

These machines have increasingly been used in scams targeting older adults and other vulnerable residents. This ordinance adds another layer of protection and makes it harder for scammers to take advantage of Albuquerque families. by @mayorkeller

Today, we broke ground on a new development along Central Avenue and near Old Town that will bring 70 new homes to Albuquerque.

With below-market rents for income-qualified working households, La Curva will help teachers, nurses, first responders and other working families find a home they can afford, all with a design inspired by the curve of Central Avenue, Route 66 and Old Town. by @mayorkeller
