ما تأجّلي صحتك… إنتِ كمان أولوية.

مستحيل أنسى سمية، كيف كانت تحكي عن مرضها وتشكر رب العالمين. والحمد لله، اليوم تعافت.

بشهر التوعية بسرطان الثدي، رسالتي لكل امرأة: ما تستهيني بالفحص وما تأجّليه. وإذا لاحظتِ أي تغيير، ما تتجاهليه.

الله يشفي كل مريض.

Don’t put your health last. You’re a priority too.

I’ll never forget Sumaya sharing her story and thanking God through it all. Thankfully, she has now recovered.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, my message to every woman: take screening seriously. Don’t keep putting it off, and don’t ignore any changes you notice.

May God grant healing to everyone facing illness.

وإنتوا لو كنتوا محلّهم، شو كانت بتكون ردّة فعلكن؟

كل ما بكبر، بحكم أقلّ. مش لأنّه مبادئي تغيّرت، بس لأنّه صرت أعرف قديش في تفاصيل ما بعرفها.

في مواقف بعدني ما بتقبّلها… بس ما عاد بستسهل أحكم على إنسان من موقف واحد.

If you were in their place, how would you react?

The older I get, the less I judge. My values haven’t changed. I’ve just realised how much I don’t know.

Some things are still hard for me to accept… but I’m slower to judge a whole person by one part of their story.

لما ماما ناديا قالت: «إذا مي ما بتقدر تكون معنا، منغيّر موعد الحفل لتقدر تجي»… كلماتها لحالها كانت جائزة.

هالتكريم من مركز المشاعر الإنسانية لأصحاب الهمم غالي كتير على قلبي. هيدا المكان فيه حبّ وعطاء ما بينوصفوا… بروح لأعطي، وبطلع أنا اللي آخدة أكتر بكتير.

When Mama Nadia said, “If May can’t be there, we change the event date so she can join us”… her words were an award in themselves.

This recognition from @sensescenter Residential and Day Care for Special Needs means so much to me.

There’s more love and generosity in this place than words can describe.

I go there to give, and leave having received so much more.

«ضحكنا كتير… الله يستر.»
قديش سمعناها لدرجة صرنا نخاف من الفرح؟
كأنّه بعد كل شي حلو، لازم يجي شي سيّئ.
بس مين قال؟

مش كل ضحكة بعدها بكا، ومش كل خير وراه شر.

وفي الحديث القدسي: «أنا عند ظنِّ عبدي بي».

فبدل ما نعيش ناطرين شو ممكن يصير من شر… خلّينا نحسن الظن بالله، ونتوقّع الخير.

“We laughed too much… something bad must be coming.”

We’ve heard it so often that we’ve learned to fear happiness, as if something bad must follow something good.

But who said so?

In the Hadith Qudsi: “I am as My servant thinks of Me.”

So instead of expecting something to go wrong,
let’s think well of God and expect good. by @maysayedali
