*The house* in which your presence and look at your mother’s and father’s faces is for you a bliss and your conversation with them is a reward.
*The house* that if you do not go, the hearts of its owners will shrink.
*The house* in which two candles were burnt to light up the world and fill your life with happiness and joy.
*The house* where the dining table is pure for you and has no hypocrisy.
*The house* that if the food time arrives and you don’t eat, the hearts of its owners will be broken and annoyed.
*The house* that offers you all the laughs & Happiness.

I used to get offended when I’d tell you, “I love you,” and you’d simply reply, “Thank you.”
When I was younger, I thought it meant you didn’t feel the same way. Now I realize it meant something much deeper.
Your children and grandchildren have always been the light of your life. Yet every Father’s Day, birthday, and Christmas, when people asked what you wanted, your answer was always the same-socks. Looking at your collection, I’d say you’ve spent a lifetime turning selflessness into a hobby. Of all the things you could have asked for, all you ever wanted was socks.
That’s who you are.
Growing up, you’d sneak me little Nutella sandwiches in the morning. You’d put me on your shoulders to wake me up for school. You took me to every karate lesson, and somehow your mujadara always tasted better when you shared it with me.
They seem like small things. But love isn’t built in grand gestures. It’s built in a thousand small moments repeated every day. And that’s how you loved us.
I think our generation throws around “I love you” so often that the words sometimes lose their weight. But you taught me that love is something much bigger than words. Love is patience. Love is showing up. Love is sacrifice. Love is consistency. Love is giving more than you take and never asking for much in return, except maybe another pair of socks.
You never needed to tell people you loved them because everyone who knows you has felt it. In every ride, every meal shared, every sacrifice made, every quiet act of kindness, you showed it.
So today, Jido, I want to tell you something you’ve spent your whole life teaching me:
Love isn’t what we say. It’s what we do.
And no one has shown me that better than you.
I love you.
