One of my older paintings from what i like to call the “lonely man series” which has been fed through the Grok AI engine to animate it. This process doesn’t work with many paintings, but when there is movement in the painting, it works well. by @mazzoni.gallery

Windblown #1 36x48” is still available for collecting at the Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art. Fed through the Grok animation engine, this short clip depicts this tree blowing in the wind as it would located along the Wild Pacific Trail at this time of year. There are no copies or prints of this painting as the galleries that represent me pride themselves on uniqueness and originals. Every painting is an exclusive experience for the collector. taken in Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art by @mazzoni.gallery

Lennard Island, 48x72 animated using Grok. This was an interesting exercise as I wanted to see if Grok could take the photo of my artwork and animate it correctly. Lennard Island is one of two paintings left from my Spotlight Exhibition at Kurbatoff Gallery. As I try to make my artwork as “real” as possible, and my painting had a wave ready to curl and ripples of water on the sand, Grok did a fairly good job of animating it out. taken in Chesterman Beach, Tofino by @mazzoni.gallery

Passage Island, which was the large centrepiece of my recent spotlight exhibition has now sold! Thank you to the designer and collector for purchasing the piece and Kurbatoff Gallery for giving me the opportunity every day to exhibit my work. I am very grateful and it is a wonderful honour to sell my art work. This piece was particularly difficult to develop with its unusual rock formations and the urban background of the city of Vancouver. taken in Kurbatoff Gallery by @mazzoni.gallery

Beach Dunes was sold yesterday at the reception of my spotlight exhibition to a wonderful couple who I had the pleasure of meeting at Kurbatoff Gallery. We shared stories of west coast and it was great to personally connect with them. I think that is what sharing art is all about to me. 🙏 taken in Kurbatoff Gallery by @mazzoni.gallery

Tofino Coast 40x60 is my rendition of the the Tofino coastline from high above the Pacific Ocean. This painting was definitely challenging for me to get the proportions and the perspective right. There is also a lot of texture in the ocean and on the landscape. There are many shades of blue in the ocean and I used around 6 shades of green for the trees and mountains. This painting is currently at the @kurbatoffgalleryvancouver in my spotlight exhibition. taken in Kurbatoff Gallery by @mazzoni.gallery

“Sentinel” 60x48” is my version of a windblown tree along the @wildpacifictrail in Ucluelet. I worked on the rocks and the pool in monochrome. The ocean has been exaggerated and highlighted and the tree colours are more exact. I like to offer a twist of colour in some of my monochrome paintings or a balance. taken in Kurbatoff Gallery by @mazzoni.gallery

“Beach Dunes” 40x60” is now on display at the Kurbatoff Gallery in Vancouver during my spotlight exhibition “Ocean Perspectives” running from October 9th to November 2, 2025. This painting highlights the details of the sand dunes and the nuances of the sand against the water. The light and shade make the dunes stand out at low tide and the cool blue colours are indicative of an early morning sunrise on the coast of Vancouver island. taken in Kurbatoff Gallery by @mazzoni.gallery
