Hey mamas,

There’s something special about this time of year in the UAE. The first hints of autumn are beginning to arrive, routines are falling back into place, and a new school season brings with it a sense of fresh beginnings.

This issue, we’re putting mental health and wellbeing firmly in focus. With World Mental Health Day on October 10, we’re looking at the emotional reality of motherhood and the journey of discovering who we are after becoming Mum. We’re also exploring how to support little ones through anxiety and the transition back to school, plus the important connection between sleep and how we feel in The Art of Better Sleep with Anna Baker.

You’ll also find plenty more to help ease into the season ahead, from school and nursery advice to family ‘things to do’ inspiration, expert insights and ideas.

As the pace of family life picks up again, I hope this issue is a gentle reminder to look after yourselves, too. While we spend so much time caring for our children, our own wellbeing matters just as much.

Inflatable Giant has opened in Al Barsha South, bringing a rather enormous inflatable playground to Dubai.

Think giant slides, ball pits, jumping zones, rock-climbing walls, swinging balls and obstacle courses – including Total Wipeout-style challenges for those who fancy putting their balance to the test.

Little ones aren’t left out either, with a dedicated toddler zone, while parents can retreat upstairs to the café overlooking the action.

There are also party halls for birthdays, if you’re already thinking ahead to the next celebration.
