It's going down again at @graffitigardenssd! If you're seeing this, come on over to our place. Felt like making a fun text based flyer in the wake of automated image creation. I designed this font years ago out of some inspiration and had been using it as an example in my Digital Art class at @grossmontcollegeart this semester. by @mbeyarts
Likes: Composition, iridescence, warmth of arms and hands, Contrast in hair - face - fez. Dislikes: Small scale, loss of facial warmth, bench. Enjoyed the process. Hadn't conceptualized the full composition so some parts feel like after thoughts, namely the bench color. Not sure how to deal with the scarf. One idea was to leave it as is but something is bothering me about it still. My last addition will make edits impossible so I have some deciding to do. It may stay like this for months. May never reach "completion." I found myself trying to balance being true to the reference hues and values and picking my own. That's why the face and arms look different. Overworked the face trying to capture subtlty in such a small space. #mbeyarts #MoorArt #islamicart #moorishamerican by @mbeyarts
Something about catching a groove. Working OT after completing a couple community projects. One of 1000s of artworks I've been harboring as ideas. I want to work bigger tho. #moorishscience #mbeyarts #islamicart #msta by @mbeyarts
Do you know what today is!? It’s our anniversary! Anniversaryyyyyy 🎙️😩 I love me some us, forever. by @mbeyarts
Not the lore yall want. 2020 took me here. Remnants of my thesis work at NSU on Unconscious Bias. I've considered this variant for Ajents. One deeply rooted in our history. Steeped in far too much pain and trauma. My response is of a future of living, thriving and a presence at every stage of growth on this plane of existence. Recognized as creators, founders, visionaries. CC #ajencyarts #mbeyarts by @mbeyarts
Fun day assisting @kimberlyartshow done in Logan Heights on Imperial under the 15. Hadn't realized how long it's been since I painted something. Hardhat saved me all day. I might have a mild concussion as many times as I hit the scaffolding. Joking... #mbeyarts #publicart #muralart by @mbeyarts
