And That’s a Wrap 🎶

This half term, our incredible team of 3 musicians and 2 dancers travelled across London, visiting 11 primary and SEND settings to deliver Routes to Rhythm — an African and Caribbean Music and Dance Adventure.
In just a few short weeks, we:
✨ Performed 45-minute interactive shows for over 1,200 children
🥁 Delivered 25 drumming and dance workshops to year groups across participating schools

Here’s just a glimpse of the feedback we received:
💬 “The children thoroughly enjoyed every song, dance and instrumental moment and continued to reflect on their experience throughout the day.”
💬 “Huge thanks for today! It was such an amazing day and the children are so inspired! Please send many thanks to all the band members! So much skill, generosity and joy — you truly brought the sunshine into the school!”

🌍🥁🤎 What a beautiful way to kick-start Black History Month at Little Rainbows! 🤎🥁🌍

Today we welcomed the wonderful Seneke from @mbilla_arts for a very special African drumming session — filling Little Rainbows with music, rhythm, culture and SO many happy little faces! 🌈✨

The children absolutely loved exploring the sounds and beats of the African drums 🪘🎶, learning a song in Gambian 🌍 and singing some of their much-loved nursery rhymes to the beat of the drums! 🎵🥁

There were big smiles all round as the children listened, sang, danced and joined in. 💃🏾🕺🏽🥰 Such a lovely, hands-on way for our little ones to experience music and language while beginning to learn about and celebrate different cultures. 🌍🤎

As we begin Black History Month, we’re looking forward to lots more opportunities to celebrate, learn and introduce our children to the wonderful diversity of the world around them. 🌈✨

A huge thank you to Seneke for such a joyful session, and an equally big thank you to the lovely parents who joined us too! 💕 We loved having you there sharing the experience with the children.

The perfect start to a very special month! 🥁🌍🤎🌈
