BAPTISTE TARD WAS UNSTOPPABLE. ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ

The OG Hornetsโ€™ star put the league on notice with an absolute DOMINANT performance, leading his squad to a convincing 69-42 victory over the Aventura Avengers.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 26 POINTS

Every time the Hornets needed a bucket, Baptiste delivered. He attacked the rim, finished through contact, and locked up defensively. Efficient. Physical. Relentless.

The Hornets are now 2-1, and if Baptiste keeps playing at this level, the rest of the league better take notice.

Congratulations to this weekโ€™s MBJCC Player of the Game! ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ”ฅ

Tre Ball squeezed out a 61-57 win over Ballers United in a grinder that came down to the wire. The numbers tell a clean story of contrasting shot profiles and the foul line being the great equalizer.

Tre Ball won despite getting torched on the glass, losing the rebounding battle 34-25 (12-4 on the offensive end for Ballers United). Ballers United lived in the paint, cashing 17-of-42 on twos (40%), while Tre Ball went small and lived from deep, launching 32 threes and burying 11 of them (34%). Ballers United hit just 5-of-21 from distance (24%).

The swing was the free throw line. Tre Ball got there 21 times and made 11, while Ballers United attempted only 9, making 6. That 5-point gap at the stripe turned a likely Ballers United possession advantage into a Tre Ball win. Both teams protected the ball beautifully, Ballers United with just 3 turnovers and Tre Ball with 5, which is why this stayed tight the whole way.

Ryan Mendelson (#1, Tre Ball) was the offensive engine with 21 on 7-of-20, splashing 4 triples and adding 6 boards and 4 assists. Player-23 chipped in 16 with 3 from beyond the arc. For Ballers United, Sebastian Vidal-Casanova (#1) posted a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double on 8-of-21. ManMan (#23) added 14 on 6-of-21 with 10 boards, and ben rubinov (#7) caught fire from deep, going 4-of-5 from three for 14 points.

Tre Ballโ€™s second-chance limitations should have buried them, but the three-ball and the stripe kept them in front. taken in Miami Beach JCC by @mbjcchoops

T1 Hoops Elite pulled away for an 84-71 win over The Masad, leaning on a blistering shooting night from downtown. T1 ripped off a 12/21 performance from beyond the arc while The Masad splashed just 7/32 from distance (22%). The efficiency gap proved decisive despite T1 coughing it up 13 times against only 4 turnovers for Masad. T1 stretched it out through sharp passing (16 assists to Masadโ€™s 12) and clean work at the stripe (12/15 FT), while Masadโ€™s 4/14 mark from the line left points on the floor.

Stat Highlights:
T1 Hoops Elite shot 60% from the field (30/50), going 18/29 inside the paint and 12/21 from three. The Masad hit 47% (30/64), going 23/32 in the paint but just 7/32 from beyond the arc. T1 won the glass 28-29 on rebounds but lost the offensive glass battle 5-12.

Ben Farkas went to work for Masad, pouring in 32 points on 14/24 shooting with 11 makes coming inside the paint. Jimmie Lasry added 17 points on 8/15, mostly working the mid-range and paint. For T1 Hoops Elite, Jordan Moshe answered with 30 points on 10/17 (6/11 inside, 4/6 from three). Ricardo Smith was perfect in a different gear, going 5/5 from the field including 4/4 from downtown for 14 points, plus 11 boards and 6 assists. noah smith chipped in 16/6/6, and #6 added 10 points on three triples. taken in Miami Beach JCC by @mbjcchoops

Game Flow
41K held off The Masad 72-65 in a game decided by ball security. The Masad coughed it up 19 times against just 9 for 41K, gifting away possessions in a seven-point finish. The Masad kept things close behind Ben Farkasโ€™s 32-point eruption, but every rally stalled with another live-ball mistake. 41Kโ€™s defense picked off 11 steals and converted the extra trips into points at the line, going 14-of-22 from the stripe while The Masad managed just 8-of-14.

Stat Highlights
Both teams shot it efficiently from inside. 41K hit 20-of-36 from two-point range (55.6%) and finished at 45.6% overall (26-of-57). The Masad actually shot a slightly better percentage at 46.3% (25-of-54) and connected on 18-of-31 inside (58.1%), but the turnover gap and free throw disparity buried them. From deep, both squads struggled: 41K went 6-of-21 (28.6%) and The Masad 7-of-23 (30.4%). 41K also won the glass 36-34 and assisted on 16 buckets to The Masadโ€™s 11.

Key Performances
Jerry Lefevre paced 41K with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, adding 6 steals and 2 blocks in a two-way masterclass. Imani Edwards chipped in 19, burying 4 triples. Matthias Schiller added 13 on 5-of-8, and Nick Santana stuffed the stat sheet with 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

For The Masad, Farkas did everything he could with 32 and 7 boards, but got almost no help. #23 added 15 but committed 9 turnovers. Abe Aminov posted 8 points and 9 rebounds, while David Saka added 8. taken in Miami Beach JCC by @mbjcchoops

OG Hornets handled Aventura 69-42 in a wire-to-wire win that was never really in doubt. The Hornets set the tone early by attacking the paint, finishing at a 58% clip from two-point range (25-of-43), while Aventura sputtered on the other end, shooting just 29% from the field overall (16-of-56) and committing 11 turnovers.

The game flipped on shot quality and ball security. OG Hornets piled up 14 assists against only 8 turnovers, while Aventuraโ€™s offense looked stuck, with 6 assists and 30 three-point attempts that produced just 7 makes (23%). The Hornets also controlled the glass, 48 rebounds to 31, with 15 offensive boards fueling second-chance points.

baptiste tard #11 was the engine, dropping 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting, including 10-of-13 from inside the arc, and added 4 steals for good measure. Bryce Davis #6 was the perfect sidekick, 15 points on 7-of-9, 9 boards, and a block. Together they carried the Hornetsโ€™ frontcourt scoring load.

evan mendelson #30 chipped in 14 points with a pair of triples, while noah hickey #35 added 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists off the bench. On the other side, Player-30 led Aventura with 16 points, including four from distance, and Jovi Rodriguez #8 added 11 points and 9 boards. Player-35 had a rough night, going 4-of-17 and just 1-of-11 from three, capping an Aventura shooting line that could not keep pace. The Hornets improved to 2-1, Aventura slipped to 0-3. taken in Miami Beach JCC by @mbjcchoops
