On December 28, I went to the emergency room at VGH. I was feeling sick, as If the room as spinning no matter if I was standing or laying down.

I went to emergency via ambulance and 5 hours later after a barrage of tests I was discovered to have vertigo. However one of the tests was a CT scan, and that is what you’re seeing here.

To usher in the new year, we have discovered a 4.5mm brain aneurysm 😵‍💫

I’m fine (as much as I can be) but am still dealing with the lingering effects of the vertigo (possibly labrynthitis) and hopefully that goes away after a while.

After consulting with the best Neurologist in town today, we’ve decided that surgery isn’t a necessary option today as the aneurysm isn’t at a dangerous size. However, my fatass has to get back to it and lose some weight as soon as I’m able to help reduce my blood pressure as high blood pressure could lead to growth.

Happy Birthday Pops. I’m sorry there aren’t many more pictures of us together like this. But at least I still have these to remind me that I’m not alone despite what I may ever think or tell myself. by @mblancaflor

I’ve been ruminating about this because I really can’t get a grasp of my feelings right now, but my father died on December 26, 2025. My father Maximino and I haven’t had much time together, as he and my mother have been separated ever since I was a baby. However, he kept in contact through the years as I grew up. He visited Vancouver one year with his brother and his nephews, and that was my first introduction to the “other side of the family”. As I mentioned, he kept in contact through the years, and was always encouraging me to do my best by my mom, and to do well in school. I think he just wanted to make sure that I was going to be okay, since he wouldn’t be there to guide me day to day. I quietly hope he was proud of me for what I’ve become and what I’ve done, but now i’ll never know.

From what I can gather from people who’ve I’ve talked to, he was always someone who was about inclusion and family, and I can truly believe that. He pushed for me to visit the Philippines for my cousin’s wedding, and really wanted me to come back into the fold, and I’m eternally thankful for that. During that trip I got to meet my step-family, and they’re all amazing people. I got to meet my brother Mark, my sister Bianca, and my mom Bheng, who are all loving people who welcomed me into the family with open arms as one of them. I never felt like an outsider, I felt the love and warmth of belonging that I hadn’t felt in a long time, and now a piece of that joy is missing.

Although we never got to speak very often, I could sense the love you still had for me, the few times that we did get to speak and spend time with each other. Just know that I will continue to try and do you proud as you look down and continue to protect us from up above. Thank you dad for being strong, for being kind, and for being generous with your love. I love you, and I will miss you. by @mblancaflor

A successful set champs season time around. Played in 6 champs, got 4 promos and a runner-up mat. Would have been 6/6, but got 9th in the other 2.
