POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Pastor Okon Praise preached a sound, simple, concise, and precise sermon on SALVATION at my big brother, Uduak Umo-Udofia’s, funeral service today.

And what a sermon it was!

He convinced us, through sound biblical exposition, that:

1. The dead in Christ are not dead, but asleep. And therefore, our response is not merely to mourn, but to REJOICE!

2. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord—for the believer.

3. Heaven is not merely a future destination; it is a present reality.

4. You can't go to Heaven if you're not already in Heaven! Christ in you and the Holy Spirit in you are the seal, surety, and guarantee of our future heavenly experience. “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

5. All we await is His appearing, when mortality will put on immortality, and our heavenly experience will become a complete bodily reality.

And then… the Non-Power Citizens among us started shaking legs, shaking heads, and shouting:

GLORYYYYYYYYYYY!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Truly, there is only ONE GOSPEL.

And when that Gospel is preached with such clarity, simplicity, boldness, and conviction as our dear Pastor did today, our hearts can’t help but rejoice!

What a reminder that beyond the grief, beyond the tears, beyond the pain of separation, Christ remains our hope, our life, and our glory.

ONE GOSPEL.
ONE CHRIST.
ONE HOPE.
ONE GLORY.

GLORYYYYYYYYYYY!!! 🙌🏾🔥 by @mbomboyo

The major cause of doctrinal disputes by "sincere" Believers , Pastors and Teachers (I don't mean those we intentionally twist, distort or hide truth for their self-determined reasons) is Lack of Basic Bible Interpretation skills. by @mbomboyo

If you've been a student of church history you'll know that this is just scratching the surface...

Doctrinal Wars will ever continue so Brethren yak ado light...

If your own Eternal Life is Temporary Eternal Life allow others breathe, if you believe Grace is HYPER like I do, allow those who believe Grace is limited to breathe...

In all let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he falls...

And when engaging in conversations or debates please be civil...

Shalom! by @mbomboyo

Adieu Don Caleb Eskhobar!

That's the name I preferred calling you...

You Dad named you: Echid Uko!

Esituko Ibokette

Tomorrow we lay the remains of your earthy body-suit to earth. Dust to Dust! Ashes to Ashes!!

But I know that absent from the body you are present with Our Lord!

Thank you for all you did for me, with me...

At some point you were my Pastor and the words you shared & expounded, I still hold to heart till date and I make references to them when I'm privileged to shareto others too...

You prayed, you preached, you prophesied, we did ministry together (from FECA, to LIFE Crew, to Abak Christian Youths, to Oasis, to Kings Mentality, to CGMI, Abak), we ran things, did businesses together and even sang & rapped together (Bomskhobar)...

You still remain...

My Best Man!

I'll never forget you!! by @mbomboyo
