Spent part of last week and the weekend at @abercrombie / @hollister headquarters in the Columbus, Ohio area to celebrate their years long efforts in supporting non-profits working on supporting #MentalHealth initiatives.

As I said, on stage, at a moment when so many of our corporate sponsors ran for the doors during this trying time, this company has strengthened its ties to us and we’re incredibly grateful to CEO Fran Horowitz and everyone there for their enthusiastic support of #LGBTQ students.

Well with Labor Day over it's also the unofficial end of summer and that deserves a little photo dump. My summer was filled with friends, family and loved ones from pretty much every part of my life. I consider myself tremendously lucky to have all of these wonderful people in my life! by @mbp456

The state of the world is weighing heavy on my heart and my mind, so I was very hesitant to go to DC because it feels like the center of my rage these days. I've also been overworking (probably to avoid dealing with some things emotionally), and I kinda forgot about the natural world. The cherry blossoms were a good reminder that being outdoors rejuvenates me and that I need to make time to go outside and smell the flowers. Even when there are terrible and awful things going on in the world, we can find joy in simple things, and joy is an act of resistance when some want to beat you down. As we warm up with spring, I'm hoping to be outside finding a lot more joy. taken in Washington, DC by @mbp456
