“When it comes to death and love, only one is guaranteed.”

Noralie Locke dies and wakes up in the Shadow Realms, only to discover that death is far from the end of her story. Now she's a Death Warden, guiding souls while dealing with dangerous magic, Soul Hunters, and secrets waiting to be uncovered.

I love the idea of an afterlife filled with magic and danger, especially when there's still so much to figure out. Add in mystery, complicated feelings, and romance, and you have a fantasy that checks a lot of my boxes!

And let's be honest, I need the fantasy AND the romance. Give me secrets, emotional moments, and characters who keep me guessing!

I'm definitely curious to see where Noralie's journey takes her and what other secrets the Shadow Realms are hiding. by @mbridges125

Thank you Ms. Tatum for allowing me to read an advanced copy of your book! Also the superb artwork you created!

I really enjoyed this book!

I’m always a sucker for a fantasy where the FMC has no idea what she’s capable of, gets thrown into a world she knows nothing about, and slowly starts discovering who she really is. Give me magic, secrets, dangerous creatures, portals, found family AND romance…yep, I’m following the stars straight into this one.

Saige was so easy to root for. She’s spent so much of her life hiding her magic, so watching her step through the veil into this new world and slowly start discovering who she really is was one of my favorite parts. And I loved that she doesn’t suddenly become some unstoppable badass overnight. She struggles. She gets scared. She makes mistakes. She has to learn to trust herself and the power inside her. Her growth felt REAL, and I was right there with her.

And then there’s Conor!

I really liked Conor. Protective without being overbearing, supportive when Saige needed him, and completely gone for her. Their relationship takes time to build, and I LOVED that. No instant “we’re madly in love” situation. We actually get to watch them find their way toward each other, one moment at a time. Give me that slow burn!!

But the world building is what really pulled me in. There are SO many things happening beneath the surface. Saige’s past, her powers, the mist, the different realms, the magic…there are so many unanswered questions that had me staring into the darkness wondering WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON?!

And that ending!
I have QUESTIONS.
A LOT of questions.

This was such a fun beginning to a new romantasy series, and I’m definitely invested now. I want to know more about this world, more about Saige, more about the magic, more about the secrets hiding beyond the veil…
…and obviously MORE CONOR.
I have a feeling there are still A LOT of stars left to uncover!

Thank you Ms. Ann for allowing me to read an advanced copy. I absolutely LOVED Sundered Sun! This book pulled me in with magic, monsters, mystery, romance, action, and secrets surrounding the Moon and Sun Kingdoms.

Lora is a monster hunter who finds the Dual-Wielder rising from the Rift. He has no memories and doesn’t know who he is, but after saving Lora with BOTH Moon and Sun power, they’re sent on a quest by the Moon Queen. They have about two months to find lost artifacts and combine them during the eclipse to uncover how to close the Rift and stop the monsters.

I loved Lora’s bond with the Dual-Wielder. She promises, “I’d be his friend. His protector. His rock to cling to. I’d be whatever he needed me to be.” She truly becomes all of those things for him. He develops feelings for her, but she loves him as a friend, and that storyline broke my heart.

Then there’s Zai. 👀 The exiled Sun Prince desperate to prove himself to his father. His father tells him, “Kindness only leads to suffering. You’ll need ruthlessness to survive. Find allies but trust no one.” Zai finds his allies in Tera, Captain of the Skydagger, and her Sun-wielding crew—but trusting them is another story. 😂

The chemistry between Lora and Zai is 🔥 from the beginning, and their love-hate attraction only gets stronger as they’re thrown into danger together. I was HERE FOR IT.

I also loved Kestrel and his songs, Caldera helping the Dual-Wielder learn Sun magic, and the characters they meet along the way.

And THE SAYINGS! I loved the unique expressions woven throughout the story:
“Drowning stars.”
“Turning tides.”
“Salt-cursed.”
“Rot of the deep.”

And my favorite:
“What in the sunless void was I thinking?”

😂 Give me fantasy expressions over modern-day cursing! So unique. It made the story seem more real to the characters!
Then came THAT ENDING. 😭💔 I did NOT see it coming, and it completely broke my heart.

Now I NEED Book Two because I have to know what happens next! by @mbridges125

I absolutely loved Song of the Dieties. There is so much happening in this book beyond Rione and Æri. Multiple timelines, the Fae, the Deities, Blodlyst, family secrets… there are so many pieces moving at once!

Rione’s character development was one of my favorite parts. Years ago, he used wine to drown out his insecurity, pain, and inner demons. What Æri saw as coldness and uncaring was really Rione trying to maintain control—the only way he knew how to survive.

But now he has overcome his addiction and is finally trying to move forward. He wants to uncover the truth about his father, even knowing it will bring painful memories back. I loved watching him choose to face his past instead of escaping from it.

Æri has changed so much too. She’s more confident in what she wants and refuses to be left out of decisions that affect them both. This becomes especially important when the Queen wants them to marry the Fae way, including finding Rione’s father’s lost composition and having him perform it on the bow lyre.

Æri makes her feelings very clear:

“It feels like another choice taken away—not by you intentionally, but I wish I could have been there. I wish we could have made the decision together.”

And:

“I don't want to be left out in matters that concern both of us.”

Those words end up meaning so much later

Then there’s Æri’s mother being captured and experimented on with Blodlyst, while Æri is desperately trying to find a cure for her sister. I loved the parallel between Rione using wine to escape his pain and Æri fighting to save her sister from Blodlyst.

And we cannot forget Pia and her polecat!  Pia becomes a very integral character, and I have a feeling she is going to be extremely important in the next book.

Signe also steps up as second in command of the Narkrye, maintaining control of the kingdom while the Queen is gone.

And then Rione wonders how the Fates could have known Æri would take his soul, body, and heart.
Because she really has.

This book felt bigger in every way—more mythology, bigger stakes, more character growth, and so many secrets. And that ending?! Yeah… I need the next book. Im by @mbridges125

I ordered this blind romantacy book just for the I am so fond of this shop because I love surprises, and my copy of Until the Dragons Fly by @ejashwood was purchased there. I am incredibly impressed, not only by the beautiful wrapping but also by the thoughtful items included. Most notably, I am not sure if it was intentional, but the main female character in this book is named Michelle, which happens to be my name as well. I am looking forward to reading this cozy autumn book alongside all the wonderful gifts I received. I love ❤️ the bookmark "One Reader Can Change Everything For An Indie Author" by @mbridges125

@books.by.klsmith If you appreciate the works of C. S. Lewis and The Lord of the Rings, I believe you would greatly enjoy Of Keepers and Prophets. Although I typically prefer romantic fantasy, it was a refreshing experience to read a fantasy novel that avoids explicit content and profanity while still providing a compelling narrative.

The story is presented across two timelines, and I found the way their events connect to be quite engaging. Long ago, the Tamarians (elves) and Nimari (mortals) lived in harmony and even intermarried, resulting in the melez, who inherited elven magic and longer lifespans. Unfortunately, jealousy eventually incited a war, dividing the two races into separate kingdoms.

In Adira’s timeline, she is destined to bond with Arten, but she must first receive her aptitude. Her best friend, Tanneth, is a Keeper devoted to the Former, their singular deity. When five Keepers receive messages from the Former, jealousy and discord lead to a tragedy, and the Keepers eventually vanish.

Five hundred years later, Garen begins to experience visions from the Former and is selected to be the first Keeper in centuries. Through journals left by Tanneth, he starts to uncover the truth regarding the fate of the original Keepers. Alongside his twin sister, Cillia, and his friends, Garen embarks on a quest to find a way for mortals and elves to coexist peacefully once more.

I truly enjoyed how both timelines progressed toward the same goal through distinct methods. The cliffhanger ending left me eager to discover the future of Garen, Jovan, and Adira’s stories. I am certainly looking forward to a potential reunion in the second book. I would like to thank Ms. Smith for providing me with an advanced copy.#fantasy #biblicalfantasy #adventure #trials #temptations by @mbridges125

The Fallen Star is the perfect name for this book.

If you are reading this you know Sage is dead.  This Novella allows the reader to see who Sage really was.  She was my favorite character in The Shrouded Moon.  Throughout this book we see how Sage met danger head on and that she felt hope was enough to change the future.  What she did not know was how much her life was shaped by secrets, sacrifice and the people she chose to die for.   This book was about how every choice Sage made had consequences.  Sage was called "Kindling" by Kasim, who never got to tell Sage how he felt about her, because he basically said when Sage walked into the room everyone would get warmer, and joy would fill even the grumpiest of hearts  and when Sage leaves the room the room feels cold.   Sage was the epitome of the best friend you would want but she was torn between what she grew up believing and the truth she found out at the end.  What makes Sage special is her death was not the end of what she stood for.  It was a sacrifice that gave meaning to who Sage was.  I was so upset with her death but knowing that hopefully good will come out of it heals my heart.
Thank you Ms.  Alissa for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this six star🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Novella.
