Cold Plunge at Davies Creek!!

I’m now entering my next phase of healing…I can walk without crutches now and can start to build up my strength and mobility again, it’s a slow process but exciting for me.

No exercise for 3 months! I found I didn’t actually have much energy to exercise even though I could have done some things, but with broken sleep, difficulty just moving and needing crutches all the time, as well as the energy needed to heal, I haven’t had the energy to exercise.

But I’ve turned the corner now and excited to get moving again and start rebuilding this old body!! Woo hoo!

Bring on hiking, cycling, walking, strength training, dancing…all of it!! by @mc_87

Couple of brief outings yesterday and this morning.

Just over 3 weeks since surgery, grateful I can drive now but still can’t be on my feet (crutches) much yet as I can’t bear weight on that knee. 3 more weeks to go 😭 haha what a test of patience, but nevertheless I’m grateful for the journey and excited for the destination!

Well…tough first week for sure, very immobile, significant pain and swelling.

However today is the first time I’ve been able to go for a walk outside of my house/yard and wow did I need it. So good to get outside again, walk, sit under a tree, watch the sunset, talk to several lovely neighbours.

Looking forward to longer and more frequent walks!!!
