🕊️ HOMEGOING CELEBRATION | OCTOBER 10, 2026 🕊️

With heavy hearts, yet with gratitude for a life that touched so many, we prepare to celebrate the Homegoing of Minister Akeem Elijah Moore on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

This day will be more than a farewell. It will be a celebration of Akeem’s life, his love, his laughter, his ministry, his music, and the unforgettable impact he made on everyone blessed to know him.

Though we wish we had more time, we thank God for the time we were given. Every smile, every song, every encouraging word, and every memory will remain forever etched in our hearts.

On October 10th, we will gather together as family, friends, brothers, sisters, and a community of faith to honor his journey, celebrate his legacy, and give thanks to God for the gift that was Minister Akeem Elijah Moore.

🎶 The song may sound different without you here, but your melody will forever live within us.

Rest well, Minister Akeem. 🕊️
You served. You loved. You inspired.
And you will never be forgotten.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

Please continue to keep the Moore family and all who loved Akeem lifted in prayer as we prepare to celebrate a beautiful life and an enduring legacy. 🙏🏾❤️ taken in Mount Calvary Baptist Church by @mcbcwpb1

🕊️ GONE TOO SOON — MINISTER AKEEM MOORE 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beloved Minister Akeem Moore. A gifted musician, an anointed singer, and a beautiful soul whose ministry touched lives far beyond the walls of the church.

Your voice brought encouragement. Your music created moments of worship. Your gift made room for you, but it was your spirit, your presence, and the love you shared that made you unforgettable.

There are some losses for which words simply do not feel sufficient. Today, we honor the life, legacy, ministry, and memories of a man whose song may have ended here on earth far too soon, but whose impact will continue to echo in the hearts of everyone blessed to know, hear, worship, and serve alongside him.

We extend our deepest love, prayers, and condolences to his family, friends, church family, fellow musicians, and everyone grieving this tremendous loss.

May God strengthen every broken heart and provide comfort in the days ahead. 🕊️💙

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Rest well, Minister Akeem Moore.
Your voice is silent, but your song will never be forgotten. 🎶🕊️ taken in Mount Calvary Baptist Church by @mcbcwpb1

🔥 THE MOMENTUM TO ENDURE THE PROCESS 🔥

📖 Mark 8:23–25

Bringer of the Word: Pastor Katrina Granger

Sometimes God must isolate you before He illuminates you.

In Mark 8, Jesus led the blind man away from the crowd. His healing didn’t happen instantly—it came through a process. And that’s often how God works in us.

We may look fine on the outside, but God is still shaping what’s within. So when God says “not yet,” it’s not rejection—it’s refinement.

It means: “I’m still molding you.”

✨ PREPARATION — The process is not punishment; it’s preparation for what you’ve been praying for.
🔥 PURIFICATION — God removes what cannot go where He is taking you.
👁️ PERSPECTIVE — What is blurry now will one day make perfect sense.
👑 POSITION — When the work is complete, God positions you for purpose.

You may ask, “Why is it taking so long?”
God is saying, “I’m not just preparing the blessing—I’m preparing YOU for it.”

💎 Diamonds are formed under pressure.
🏺 Vessels are shaped in the hands of the potter.
🙌🏾 And you are still becoming what God has called you to be.

DON’T FAINT. DON’T QUIT. DON’T STOP.

Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep moving.

🌱 Your due season is coming.

The process is temporary, but the purpose is eternal. taken in Mount Calvary Baptist Church by @mcbcwpb1
