The Edge of Being: I lay, resting, with my eyes closed, in the most beautiful silence. My mind goes black with the breeze and I feel at home. Wind caresses my being like a silk sheet sending me adrift. When I open my eyes I am greeted by a pastel blue a light far brighter than my eyes can bare. Warmth acts as the wind does. It’s not exhaustion I feel. It’s peace. Fountained through my veins from a source beyond my own comprehension. Grass scattered up against my body invades my hair for new landscape. I am one. As I pick up my head the scenery floods in. Grass nuzzles up to a chalk cliffs edge. Waves roll and rush below yet the sand lays stubborn. Not a single souls appears in my peripherals. Just beautiful wavering pastels, warm light and my self. Birds chirp, caw and swoop. Yet I do not move. For there is no reason to. I am Still. Apart of the landscape… something greater. A kaleidoscope of particles that define our existence. This is not death. This is life. I am but a ripple in the cosmos. -MM by @mccam3ra
