#RecoverOutLoud Day 4 of my 10 day recovery challenge. Everyone’s recovery looks different. Post 1 picture each day for 10 days of what your recovery looks like or a gift you have gained from recovery. This is to raise awareness that any addict/alcoholic can stop using, lose the desire, and find a new way to live. Overdose rates are up and this is a small way to raise awareness that recovery is possible for anyone and WE DO RECOVER!

Today I nominate: Devon Sklar

The rules are simple:
* Once you are nominated your 10 days start the following day.
* Every day you post a picture of what your recovery looks like or a gift you have received.
* Every day you must nominate a different person. Try to choose people you think will want to do this and people that have found our new way to live.
* Have fun with this. Today, we are visions of hope and WE DO RECOVER!
* LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANT. The stigma still exists. If you don’t know if someone would be ok with being nominated, please choose someone else. by @mcclain_45

Got to see my momma today! The day before my hip surgery she was sent to hospital so we haven’t seen each other since Monday.. that was long enough … so I hobbled my ass down there.
Grateful she’s home 🤍🤍🤍Joan McClain by @mcclain_45

On the left: the fattest meth head you’ll ever meet.
On the right: a comedian. Apparently, jail has a better transformation program than Weight Watchers.

They promised me a life beyond my wildest dreams. I thought they were full of shit.

Turns out, they were right—and I’m living it. 🤍🤍🤍 #recovery #recoveryispossible Ink by @carver_tattoos by @mcclain_45
