What a season full of McCourt MAGIC 🪄

Incredible running by our boys and girls on Sundays Middle School State Championships. Our boys placed 6th overall (highest team finish ever!!) and our girls placed 9th! Everyone ran strong races to close out their seasons and a special shoutout to 8th graders Natalie Crawford and Jonathan Stowik who each claimed second place overall in their races, earning first team junior all state!! Well done to our boys team of Jaymie Tromp, Vincent Wanderley, Patrick Bickerstaff, Jackson Gilles, Drew Dyment, and Bryce Polubinski and to our girls team of Lilliana Greene, Isabella Kalafut, Tatum Connors, Ruby Brown, Amirah Baza and Ash Nichols! Beyond proud to coach this team 💙💛 taken in Deerfield Park by @mccourtxc

There’s nothing better than McCourt XC!

Congratulations to the 8th graders who completed their last race as a whole team this weekend. Watching this crew grow up has been the biggest honor for Ryan and I. To see them help grow this team culture and family, to see their improvement, and to see them grow into incredible young men and women has been a journey we are so thankful to have been apart of.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS: Shoutout to Yanabelle Tromp who placed third in the JV race running an incredibly smart race and a big PR of 14:22. Vivienne Garnham also PR’d and cracked the top 10 coming in 9th. Siri Guduri, Gensis Ruiz-Trinidad, Charli Gaynor, and Annebel Shanks all cracked the top 15 and ran personal bests or close to them! The girls JV finished in second place!
In the JV boys Cooper Lyons and Jacob Sequeira finished back to back running personal bests coming in 20th and 21st. Boys JV came in sixth!

Our girls varsity team qualified for states in third place overall. Congratulations to our own Natalie Crawford for coming in second place! Lilliana Greene and Isabella Kalafut were close behind in 11th and 16th. Tatum Connors finished in 21st followed by Amirah Baza in 25th!

Our boys varsity had the best team finish ever at divisions placing second and only losing by 7 points. Shoutout to Jonathan Stowik who ran a new PR of 10:43 to win the race by a promising 37 seconds. Vincent Wanderly ran an incredible race to place fifth. Patrick Bickerstaff was right behind him in 7th followed by Jaymie Tromp in 9th. Jackson Gilles wrapped up the scoring 5 in 35th place running a very impressive race after being sick all week!

States is next up on Sunday October 20th at Deerfield park. Girls 12:30 boys 1:15. by @mccourtxc

This team!!💙💛

We had three 6th grade girls earn medals for coming in the top 30! Ruby Brown (12th) Yanabelle Tromp (21st) Genesis Ruiz-Trinidad (28th)! Our top finisher for sixth grade boys was Jacob Seqeira cracking the top 50 at 48th. Our top finisher for 7th grade girls was Abigail Nichols just shy of earning a medal placing 32nd. Patrick Bickerstaff shaved off several minutes from last year’s time to earn a medal in the 7th grade boys race leading his teammates in at 15th place. Our 8th grade girls placed third overall! Natalie Crawford in 3rd, Lilliana Greene in 21st and Bella Kalafut in 30th each earned medals and lead their age group to their second consecutive third place finish! Our 8th grade boys performed incredibly in a very competitive field. Jonathan Stowik led his squad coming in 5th place followed by Jaymie Tromp, Vincent Wanderly, and Jackson Gilles who each just missed the top 30 mark. We are so proud of this crew and excited for the championship season ahead of us! #McCourtMAGIC 🪄 by @mccourtxc
