Doesn’t seem like much however this is the first time I’ve managed to get pinwheels to mesh correctly. I’ve always winged it, never got them to work… finally I downloaded Matthias Wandel’s Gear Template Generator after reading Dug North’s post on the Cabaret Mechanical Theatre website…. Halloween fun with old library books. I plan to stamp a few and also carve a few crude medieval-looking occult woodblocks to stamp within… then leave them around town in coffee shops and park benches by @mcdrunk

Test movement for the zombie arms breaking through the office door. The string will be replaced with something more robust and the swinging hex nuts for added weight will be removed #automata

Going to have to do some surgery on this guy from the zombie automata I’ve been working on for the last hundred years. I’ve never really been happy with him, his head is slightly too big, arms are too long, knees don’t bend correctly, same with the ankles. I need to also have his waist bend… it’d probably be smarter to carve a new piece however… #automata by @mcdrunk

…. and while waiting for FedEx to find a package that they said was delivered yesterday (security cameras say otherwise), I started another piece… because of course start a new automata when I have three-four(?) uncompleted ones. This one is about trying to count sheep while being scared by a demon goat night terror. Sheep/goat on a spinning carousel and maybe the sleeper will raise up each time the goat comes around. #automata by @mcdrunk

Commission fountain for a birthday. Paint ceramic pot, drilled flagstone…. quite happy with the painted animals as that’s not normally something I’m comfortable with. by @mcdrunk
